@montego24 I ran ubuntu 8.1-10.1 and the stability of windows 7 is superior. I'd never go back to linux. It's just to clumsy for some things and lacks things like system restore if something goes wrong. Also, having to use wine for windows apps was a serious problem! Most of the apps I tried running under wine ended up with a problem of some sort or another. Even with Codeweavers Crossover Office, most programs still have issues. Linux was fun in general & for WEP cracking with aircrack though:)

Using the BootCamp application on your mac, it partitions the hard drive so 1 side has Mac and 1 side has Windows and then you install it and thats it.

If your on your Mac now then go to the search bar at the top right of your screen and type in bootcamp and click the application and it takes you through it, its incredibly simple but when i had Windows on my MacBook Pro i found it ran both sides kind of slow so i cleared the partition and put it on my Mac Pro and it runs fine, i think you need a pretty sophisticated system to be able to handle both OS's on the same partitioned hard drive and run them quickly and efficiently :\

And I like your idea! Though, it's good to mention that the largest issue is with hardware. Since Apple designs their hardware around their OS, there's a substantially smaller amount of room for the system to crash on behalf of the hardware.

Plus, Apple gets to serve their own support, and doesn't have to deal with different users with different hardware. :D

i don't see any reason to get Apple Mac apart from good hardware after the launch of Windows 7.

I think if other PC makers launch cooler hardware like apple, then it seems Apple will have tough time getting the market share as they are recently.
