This is kind of an oxymoron but this movie was a very "original" remake. A totally updated version of the 1985 classic. The comedy compliments the horror and the horror compliments the comedy. Very cool flick. 8/10

I checked imdb, it has both Evil Ed and Peter Vincent listed in the cast. I won't be considering this a replacement for the original because I love Chris Sarandon. I like Colin, and think he can make this a good movie, it looks like it's going to be an awesome vampire movie.

I don't know. As a fan of the original. I'm afraid some of the overtones it had might be missing. Both the comedy, the charged sexuality and themes of innocence. Still, this will likely be closer to a real vampire film than most the tripe that comes out these days.
