  • should hgave closed the throttle before changing direction

  • notice that there is about a 5 % effeciency loss during reverse

  • Nice Sound!!

  • sounds pretty square on man. good job!

  • WHat Have you created. This video is scary this engine sounds like a monster. ITS ALIVE ITAS ALIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome video! My suggestion in regards to the reverse arm: When the locomotive is in reverse and the driver is at either 0 or 180 degrees, the lifting link should be completely vertical. It appears your reverse arm should be moved back a hair. When the radius crank is all the way in the backward position you notice there is a lift on rear radius extension rod. Not a bad thing but in some cases that could allow more steam to the rear of the cylinder in comparison to the front. Beautiful engine!

  • Thats amazing! Looks great!

  • Wow, that's pretty effecient on 30 PSI!

  • One would think so. But remember that it is not under load. The only work it is doing is against it's own compression. Try pulling a few cars. Then it probably won't do so well at 30. Thanks for the comment. -- BG
