im 11 and im better then you but still there is one i can do and you cant but... but but but i cant jump rope back words and do criss-cross at the same time you still did very very GOOD
Nice Job Im In A Jump Rope Team And I Can Do All This Stuff And Im Ten...( Not Trying To Brag) But You Very Good Im Trying To Beat The World Record Of 63 Double Unders In A Row..Im Almost There Lol...:) I SubScribed
I doubt it's 63 . . . Cuz practically any pro can do over 200 Double unders in a row. As per my knowledge around 60 Quadruple unders in a row is one of the records. Not sure (too lazy to research)
jumpin for 4 1/2 years now and im 11 XD although i dont mean to brag but those are some of the tricks we do and they seem easy compared to what the king firecrackers do have you heard of booty bounces???? ya well they do stomach knee and back bounces
Heeyyy, still i liked better your "ahh fuck!" video...*(^.^)*, btw I'm just starting to jump rope and just by watching you I've been able to get better!!
A beaded rope will work fine for now. You should be able to do all of the jumps I did above with one. If you practice often and stick with it, you should be as good as me in about a year I would say. Maybe less. After that it's like riding a bike. Just keep practicing and you will get better than I am!
Damn. At first I thought, "This kid's not gonna be so good"... then I saw stuff that I hadn't seen anyone else do! The backwards jumping is really cool... first time I've seen that. And you did it with tricks. Very impressive, bro! Props!
all of you people that are saying stupid shit, either create your own video or shut the fuck up. Thanks dude, I definitely learned a few tricks fron this video.
nah, thats not what im saying. You're obviously just either jumping rope wrong (or not pushing yourself those 30 minutes, therefore not really working on any cardio), or you're exaggerating. i hope its the latter, because my instructor (A black belt, very, very fit) starts to fatigue after half an hour of working out.
@SpyAgent528 I use an Aero Speed rope and have great form. I go easily at 200+ rotations per minute for the full 30 min. The reason I'm that good is because I do it every day.
when did we get on the topic of the brand of jump rope you're using? you're not gaining anything if you don't fatigue, it doesn't matter how good you are, like i've said, my instructor is a black belt, and he fatigues after 30 minutes, because he's pushing yourself (he obviously practices everyday, also). I dont care how good you are, or what brand of jump rope you're using, this kid is pushing himself, and it seems like you're not.
@SpyAgent528 I skip twice as fast as the person in this vid. I sweat a ton, my heart rate gets jacked up as high as possible, but at no point do I feel out of breath or do my muscles feel overly fatigued. Don't know what to tell you, that's just how it is when you're in great shape.
Oh, you want me to acknowledge how hard you work, and how better you are at jumping rope than this guy? omg ur liek faackin awsum man ugh pathetic losers dont know fitness man yuh can go 50 min wiffoot breethin hevy m8
I don't want you to acknowledge anything. I'm simply just relaying that I can in fact skip for prolonged periods of time without feeling out of energy or breath. Some people are fit -- I'm one of them.
@nhlfan33 as is the man in the video, so why are you bragging? i'm a purple belt in martial arts, and a blue in haidung gumdo, and as I think I said this before, but, I also exercise, twice a day -- jump rope for 30, sprint for 30. Do i post that on related videos? no... there are plent of people who're fit, there are plenty who choose not to be. Some get a high out of it, and it makes them feel alive, others, would rather not. who the hell are you to brag? I highly doubt anyone cares, tbh
@SpyAgent528 I'm not bragging. I'm simply trying to communicate to you that I CAN in fact skip for 30 min at an intense, proper pace and not feel winded/fatigued -- which was why we're arguing. You seem to assume that if there's somebody out there skipping for half an hour and not feeling fatigued, that they MUST be going slowly or doing it improperly.
@nhlfan33 Communicate to me? No, you're bragging... you commented, before I responded, before you even knew I would comment back or even read your post, that you could do better than the guy in this video (i'd like to call that bragging). and once again, I'm just telling you, if you don't seem very fatigued, you're not pushing yourself, not that you're doing it wrong.
@SpyAgent528 You again fail to comprehend beyond your own ignorance of human fitness levels. You assume that one can't skip for 30 minutes at an intense pace without feeling fatigued. And in your assumption you fail to realize that, in high enough conditioning, the human body can very easily jump rope at a rapid pace for extended periods of time without muscle exhaustion setting in.
@SpyAgent528 I skip an hour a day, every day, in two 30 minute sessions. The jump rope I use, as mentioned before, IS relevant -- that's why I mentioned it. If you knew anything about skipping - which you clearly don't, evidenced in your flawed logic -- you'd know that the Aero Speed Rope is designed for advanced users. It's the fastest rope on the market.
@SpyAgent528 For those entire 30 minutes, I'm physically turning the rope as fast as I can (which is a blistering 3-5 rotations per second, so don't talk to me about going slowly), doing running skips with advanced tricks mixed in, and I don't stop a single time until I'm finished. So shut the fuck up, because you don't know what you're talking about.
Damn, roid rage? Calm down, and you've just further proved my point that you are bragging. And, no, I don't know much about jump roping, I simply do it for the great cardio workout, but I'd only hoped you would've assumed that, seeing as how I'm looking at this video........... again, if you feel no exhaustion, you're no pushing yourself. as simple as that, doesn't matter how cool it looks. sorry. &you're going too slow. yuh u kan has speed
Again, in your delusion you fail to consider that a human conditioned properly can push themselves to and pas their limits physically without fatigue setting in. Moron...
So, to you, pushing yourself must lead to physical fatigue after 30 minutes of jump rope? What you fail to realize -- and what I'm again having to reiterate, because you're too dense to understand -- is that, if one trains in the same activity regularly, at the highest possible pace, they can reach a point where their body is at such a strong fitness level that they do not feel the affects of fatigue. But, this is like trying to teach calculus to a retard -- it just isn't possible.
that wasn't a very funny metaphor. i mean, the fact that you keep saying that, yet you keep commenting back, IS funny, because clearly i haven't really cared much about the topic since i first commented back at you. but, since you seem to be roid raegin' about it, so by this logic you can go hours without fatiguing? no? push yourself, you'll get better.
AND, I SAY AGAIN, LOL IT'S ONLY JUMP ROPE. Try other things to improve your cardio
You're an idiot. I'm ending this once and for all. Distance runners, the world class type. More specifically, the world record holder in 5k and 10k. He can run the 10k in 26 or so minutes, I believe. Since he is so well trained, he's able to run as fast as he can for that entire period of time, and doesn't feel fatigued. Same concept but with the jump rope. By the way, jump rope is the best cardio you can do. Moron.
ROFL when did I say it wasn't? i'm simply saying IT'S JUST JUMP ROPE! i'm in two martial arts, i jump rope for 30 minutes then i jog for 30 minutes, I may not be the brightest, but mind you, I'm only fifteen, but i eat for purpose¬ pleasure, so, at my age, i'd say i'm pretty damn fit. I would've only hoped you would've guessed that I was kidding and took no serious thought or response to anything you've said, but apparently, YOU are the idiot. Calm down, dude, please. Christ
@nhlfan33 no offense im sure ur are in great shape, but your use of the word fatigued is not right. There is a difference between fatigue & just breathing heavy b/c your heart is working hard. I train jiu jitsu & do boxing as a cardio work out, jump rope is my fav thing to do b/c its the best all around work out u can get. i can roll for hours & not get gassed but im still breathing heavy. i do what u mean by "its just jump rope" b/c its what u do in grade school, but its extremely good for u.
good skills man. you must be pretty fit, I just got myself a jump rope to use for workouts, first time I did it I was in a heap on the floor after a minute. I'm trying to get the "double under" but keep smacking the rope on the floor on the second rotation.
Yeah I think it's my lack of technique really. I only just got my rope this past weekend having never never used a jump rope before. I managed to get a double under lastnight though, but was so pleased with myself I completely lost rhythm and tripped over the rope. I'm amazed at how much of an intense workout it is.
Practice. Spin the rope really fast and jump higher than you normally would. Starting out, I would try to jump as high as possible. Lightweight shoes help too.
You don't look as in shape as you are. Even though, you do the moves you don't make it look easy and 2:38 wtf is that? However, you are doing the moves and you are in great shape, good on you.
Pretty impressive. I've been jumping rope for about a year and can't touch this. I'm just now mastering the criss cross. But your video strikes me as more entertaining than purely instructional. Do you have any interest in posting step-by-step instructions on your techniques from this video? Might prove very helpful.
Glad to hear you're so awesome ; some of us have to put in the time and work to be good at a thing and don't waist time with pompous comments deriding others in order to feel better about ourselves. I shouldn't bother, but in my defense I'll point out that it didn't take me a solid year of working at the criss cross everyday to get it down--it only took a couple weeks when I really focused and put in the time. Not that it matters--you'll be the same jackass no matter what I say.
Hey pandappotamus, was wondering if you might have any pointers/tips to offer on mastering a backwards criss-cross? Or maybe you know of some videos? Maybe it won't take me a year this time if I get some decent pointers. Just thought I'd ask.
Good job man...jump rope is probably the most practical way to do cardio. All the old school bodybuilders did it too. Ever get hit in the face by the rope? So painful lol
nation champion jump roper...eh.thats very unnatural topic of expertise..AHAHA im not making fun im saying thats a special talent you strived for..i like special people cuz im special
you did some doubleunders criss cross and side criss cross and speed and backwards criss cross and 360 but u did it wrong and i don't no what u did at the end it looks wierd but its good and i'm a jumper too but i don't have videos on it
Yeah, I'm no pro. I used to jump in in elementary school over 10 years ago. I just picked up a rope and decided to show my old school skills on video. Thanks tho.
shorten up ur rope. youll be able to do all those tricks a whole lot easier! and relax a little more. youll look more graceful, but other than that nice job!
That's cool but learning those tricks really only takes about a couple of hours once you get your timing right. I jump rope between my sets just to keep my heart going. It's an older lady at the gym I go to she is good as hell jumping rope backwards but she cant do tricks jumping foward. I learned my tricks by looking at a Floyd Mayweather video and putting it in slow motion. Like I said once you get timing on the swing and the jumps. The crossing and the doubles are a piece of cake.
Holy crap, that was awesome! I want to pick this up for total body conditioning, but it's so hard to do! I made a video a few weeks ago....and sadly, that's the only thing I know how to do. I'll try to cross next time. How on Earth did you learn those tricks? Keep it up!
haha thanks! funny you say that, i mainly just jump rope for cardio and quickness. i like to jump in random dirrections and (skiing side to side, or jumping in x's) as fast as possible sometimes too to train agility, something you can do to train boxing to keep your feet more farmiluar with the ground and constantly having to jump back and forth. Its good stuff ;-) keep practicing!
awesome, there really is no how to on youtube, and ya if you could teach us each of the moves one by one and slowly if possible that would be awesome. Thanks man. great vid!
sure, i would like to give a sort of instructional video to jump rope and tricks as well as some nice tips to remember and different kind of footwork that i use sure! im going to try to get a video up sometime this week.
@AKAElementalLord yah i meant to say thats was the record for our school jump rope team not the world record haha

Not that it matters--you'll be the same jackass no matter what I say.

...yea... no not really. I am awesome though. I'll agree with that.
pandappotamus 2 years ago
Hey pandappotamus, was wondering if you might have any pointers/tips to offer on mastering a backwards criss-cross? Or maybe you know of some videos? Maybe it won't take me a year this time if I get some decent pointers. Just thought I'd ask.

That was all done at pretty high intensity. Try sprinting around the block a couple times. I think you might be a little winded.

Good job man...jump rope is probably the most practical way to do cardio. All the old school bodybuilders did it too. Ever get hit in the face by the rope? So painful lol

Whats the trick at 0:57?
DafyddHuw 3 years ago
It's called the matador.
xlelanolx 3 years ago
just a little advice...
shorten up ur rope. youll be able to do all those tricks a whole lot easier! and relax a little more. youll look more graceful, but other than that nice job!
xinaj23 3 years ago
nice but try doing that stuff on one leg switcing your body weight for 15 mins then you got how i jump rope.
satownhustler210 3 years ago
That's cool but learning those tricks really only takes about a couple of hours once you get your timing right. I jump rope between my sets just to keep my heart going. It's an older lady at the gym I go to she is good as hell jumping rope backwards but she cant do tricks jumping foward. I learned my tricks by looking at a Floyd Mayweather video and putting it in slow motion. Like I said once you get timing on the swing and the jumps. The crossing and the doubles are a piece of cake.
Digadog81 3 years ago
This is an awesome video. I've been watching it a lot to try to learn some of these tricks.

Holy crap, that was awesome! I want to pick this up for total body conditioning, but it's so hard to do! I made a video a few weeks ago....and sadly, that's the only thing I know how to do. I'll try to cross next time. How on Earth did you learn those tricks? Keep it up!
cadd918 3 years ago
wow, you are veryy good :) i like this sport too..:D
crazyfrogs33 3 years ago
thanks, keep practicing!
xlelanolx 3 years ago
dam that move you did at the end was sick, i wanna learn that shit. i only do it for boxing though, you seem like you really do it for the sport.
anthemofadam 3 years ago
haha thanks! funny you say that, i mainly just jump rope for cardio and quickness. i like to jump in random dirrections and (skiing side to side, or jumping in x's) as fast as possible sometimes too to train agility, something you can do to train boxing to keep your feet more farmiluar with the ground and constantly having to jump back and forth. Its good stuff ;-) keep practicing!
