Yes, Kris knows everything about The Old Roads, sad and the happy ones, he knows how to write about life..This cd I was lucky to buy at one of his concert before it's available in store, bought it for my friends, too..So greatful for having Kris..Thank you Robdeg...from Norway.
Thanks for the comments! Watching it now from 30,000 feet on an Air Tran Flight to Seattle using GoGo Inflight internet on my new Toshiba NB205 netbook
the song is great, but I couldn't find anything new with this biography channel, I'm just wondering if Cisco Pike was released in 1972 as one can read in the bio there or in 1971 as I can read on the dvd cover? There is no date with the end credits in the movie. Maybe you know about that for sure? I guess the movie was made in 1971, but released only in early 1972.
First paid attention to KK in 1971 when I heard "Me & Bobby Magee" on WWOM FM New Orleans. I wonder if later generations find his music appealing/relevant. Is folk dead outside of Boston? Will it revive as an alternative to the materialistic/mysogenistic/homophobic/superficial pop we've endure for so long now?
the Folk...Americana...Singer/Songwriter genre is alive and well...so is outlaw country...you can do your part by not listening to corporate radio...Support Indie Radio, AM Radio, College Radio and NPR.
Corporate Radio Sucks...Pop Country Sucks even more...
Proud to be 16 and watching this.

Ok, have found it myself. It's not with the end credits, but at the beginning in Roman numerals, MCMLXXI - and that is 1971...

Kris Kristofferson and Willie Nelson are the only highwaymen left. Long live both Willie and Kris.
