Or you can connect your controller using USB cord and run some drivers for your PC (no official ones, but plenty with sixaxis support on the net). If your PC has bluetooth you can even connect your controller that way.

I tried out installing that Linux crap and the "getting started" tab told me to format hardisk and then do some settings for another OS or some crap, which didn't worked so the ps3 just formated and deleted all of my game data. Thanks alot, now all my Oblivion and Uncharted 2 saves are gone! FUCK THIS!

you save them to your pc partition on your ps3, which is usually only 10gb UNLESS you really tweak your ps3. which most people don't do as they don't know how.

vmware. if you configure your inis right, you can use the sixaxis on linux as a mouse. if you get a gamepad profiler like xpadder you can bind your keys to whatever you want. :) this is just an easier way to do everything i named pretty much.

This don't make much sense to me, in order to play any good games, you need a good video card. The video card comes equipped with out puts to connect your PC to your T.V so why would you use the PS3? it wont screw it up and when it starts up you can press enter to go to yellow dog linux or type in: boot-game-os to go back to ps3 and if you dont like it at all, you can turn off the ps3 in the back. turn it back on and hold the touch power button for 3 beeps and yellow dog linux will uninstall
