The Osprey just got cocky and didn't check his blind spot. The biggest bird never looks behind to check for bigger birds. Underestimating the enemy is the worst mistake it could make.

Osprey's wouldn't DARE fight back a Bald Eagle. Plus Bald Eagle's are very "opportunistic" feeders to say the least. I've seen the roles reversed many times, were the Bald's had the catch, only to give it up to a Raven. So can go either way in the world of nature. But clearly the bigger bird, is usually more successful & dominant in the bird world......
