I'm telling you,,, this is one rock star is that actually getting better with time. Pete can play acoustic versions of rocks songs. Pete has serious big time talent.
not the same without entwistles bass line or moon's drums...but then again that's true of all townshends solo guitar covers, and he still does a pretty good job. besides, he's responsible for most of the genius that is the who's discography, so i figure he can do whatever the hell he wants with these songs..

you're right and I don't really care one way or another what he does to their songs. one thing I will say is that this song was written by Entwistle. one of his best.
This song was written by townshend who wrote ALL the Quadrophenia songs. The studio version of this song is just noted for having some of the best bass playing that Entwistle did with the Who.
I'm going to show this to my shrink, since her ears are delicate.

I came accross a pretty high quality audio bootleg a while ago (this is the one with Lou Reed, right?).
Sounded pretty damnend good. I loved Pete and Lou's duet on "White Light/White Heat".

townshend is an incredible songwriter and a really good guitarist.
he has inspired me so much and the fact that he has tinnitus and lives with it proves that your life is'nt ruined if you get it.
that helped me when i first got it.
