  • Wonderful Mozart!!

  • that's awesome wonderful. u put so much character into it. love it xxx

  • @samantaray Thank you for your kind comment. My apologies for the late reply; i have been offline for a while.

  • Great! In one year of learning! Big aplaus, indeed!

  • Thank you for your kind comment. I'm now close to completing my second year; progress has been slower but satisfactory ... and I still enjoy playing the theremin very much indeed.

  • Bravo!

  • Thank you! A year on and this is still one of my favourite pieces to play; if you check my channel there's a more recent version played a couple of octaves lower on an Ethewave Standard theremin.

  • You are such a talented man. This would be hard enough to play on any conventional instrument, let alone the Theramin. Thank you for your inspiration.

  • Thank you! Your kind comment encourages me to keep practicing!

  • Excellent playing and really pleasant voice )

  • Thank you! One of the handy things about the E-pro theremin is that its settings allow for a variety of voices; this whistling sound is one of my favourites ... and seemed to suit the piece.

  • I was just asking myself if an equalizer should be enough to obtain this kind of sounds on a standar etherwave

  • Sorry, I don't know anything about equalizers. I've tried various settings on my amp when playing my Etherwave Standard through it, but, although I've sometimes found a less string-like tone than the E-Standard usually plays, it's never as mellow and flute-like as this ''whistle'' preset on the Etherwave-Pro. Also, the E-Pro has 3 range settings; this is the highest - a good octave higher than anything you can play on the E-Standard.

Each make of theremin seems to have its own individual sound!

  • Wow! Simply beautiful as I guess the most persons do have problems with the higher parts in the beginning (like me LOL!) ... Great job!

  • Thank you!

Yes, I think many people find high songs harder to play - probably because with most theremins the highest notes near to the antenna gradually get closer together in the note-field.

This type of theremin (sadly not made now) is a little different. The notes are always an equal distance apart, and the theremin has 3 range settings: lower octaves, middle octaves & highest octaves.

I found the fast speed and varied jumps made it hard to play - but a lot of fun once I'd learned it!

  • Well that's quite a pity those theremins aren't made now :-s 'Cause I think that especially beginning persons would like the equal distances and the octave changes, though, I guess if you will be more experienced in playing those octave switch also can be some trouble maker, as you better might have a wider range to play ;-)

By the way, congrats on your first Theremin Playing year ... I still have 8 months to go LOL!

  • OMG! FANTASTIC! ;)

Here's to a year completed, and to the next.

    Keep up the great works!

  • Thanks! That's praise indeed from such an expert!

  • I think this is your best yet! Beautifully played. An excellent 1 year achievement.

  • Thanks! I really enjoyed learning and playing this piece; it's certainly one I'll keep in my repertoire!

  • Congrats on 1 year!

  • Thanks for the lightning-fast comment; I've only just finished adding annotations and checking everything's working ok!

Does it get any easier in the 2nd year? ;)
