I took a government class in college and I asked my professor how the government gets away breaking all these laws that are set to protect us, and he didn't have an answer for me.

The "war powers resolution of 1973" is, in itself unconstitutional. Voted in by "bought" politicians.
Congress declares war against a specific country for a specific attack. Iraq never attacked USA. Hell, we put Saddam in power, gave him nerve gas to use against Iran, then invaded on false intelligence reports. No WMD. we did seize oil fields. we did secure them from attack so sadams forces couldnt burn them. we are not profiting nor accepting oil from iraq. we invaded a country which threatened the safety of our allies, had attaacked them using wmds and continued to deny our legitimate inspectors the right to go in and determine what wmds he had left. we did know he had them because he was a rogue leader who accepted them from us during the cold war and then used them against our people. sadam was a threat

they also dont report everything positive that happens because those stories dont sell air time. controversy sells and that fact puts it into perspective why they cover the stories they cover.
