If you don't mind, a bit of advice: buy a tripod for your video camera. Lightning is a phenomenon in motion. If the lightning is moving AND the camera is moving = too much moving. If you would've had a tripod it would've been a better video. Trust me.
It's only a Canon A75 and is my mom's camera. Unfortunately my camera does not take videos since it's a DSLR (Nikon D50). My dad has a small camcorder which I may use at a later date though. However, with the storms I've captured recently (see my other two storm vids) I've had to move around a bit in order to avoid getting completely soaked. Thanks for the concern though.

I understand that. I'm no stranger to tripods (I have a monopod as well). It was a spur of the moment kind of thing, however, and it didn't cross my mind to go grab a tripod so the lightning could be captured a bit better. Like I said though, thanks for your concern ;)
You should be sorry. It's kind of hard to not have trees and houses in the way when there's nothing but trees and houses in the way around here ;) By the way, nice lightning video you have (could have had better sound production for it, however).
