I wouldn't be surprised if this is a copy engine of Doom. There is a ton of stuff already the same and look alike.

The similarities from the Doom engine are not a surprise, considering Ken Silverman (the creator of this engine) asked John Carmack for advice on how to make his engine better.

I remember getting this demo on one of those cd's you could buy back then with several demo's on one disc.  When this came out the graphics seemed as good or better than anything I had seen up till that point. I was really looking forward to buying the full version. always wondered what happened to it.

Looks too similar to Quake and Heretic/Hexen for my liking...but certainly not bad. It probably would have done decently if they'd finished it considering that everything that used Build did well, but compared to other Build games, it doesn't use the engine in any fancy way at all.

I disagree, it would be just dumb to cancel a game because of just that. And this is unreleased, so it isn't necessary the final work, i mean, if it would have been released, they might have changed a lot of things.
