  • sorry this si a late reply that flickering is the refresh on the screen being picked up from the camera. we cant see this happening when there isnt filiming cause of how fast the refresh happens it stops an image being burned on the screen if there is a still image

  • spam. omg i hate sat nav get a fricken map home boy

  • Hey Flintstone - i hate maps. Why the hell can't you just read street signs!

  • actually thanks to ur review i bought one of these today lol:) flintsone has left the building...

  • Cheers matey! You'll have some fun with it if nothing else I'm sure!

  • Slander? How do people slander a Garmin?... Do they say it's sleeping around witn TomTom?

  • There's a new sat-nav unit coming out that makes tea and bakes bread so you can have your breakfast prepared for you on your fantastic adventure. If dorothy had one of those The Wizard of Oz wd have been a much shorter fim.

  • Can you buy this in stores (in australia) with the Australia basemap included?

I dont wanna pay for the unit then have to pay the same amount again for maps to make it work!

  • with any gps system,

is there a monthly service charge or like a subscription charge that you would have to pay for monthly???

  • One of the few things we can be thankful to the US government for is the fact the GPS satellite reception is a FREE service. Take it a step further and we could even go as far as to thank Bill Clinton. So the answer is No! Civilian GPS is free - you just pay for the GPS unit when you buy.

  • Not just in USA is FREE but in whole world ok? Dont need to thank Bill Clinton for that.

  • Not totally true - the reason the whole world has it free is because of the Clinton administration opening up GPS signals for public useage - prior to that it was purely a Military Luxury. And it was the U.S - as who else at that time had GPS satellites - nobody!

  • I have this satnav...if you download cantonese or chinese it becomes quite amusing:)

  • Thanks for your effort. I am considering buying one, and it's nice to see many of the features the unit offers.

  • that flickering would drive me crazy wats up with that

  • If you had read the description I said there that it cannot be helped when filming a screen -"again", it is not the GPS it is just what happens when filming a screen due to the frame/shot exchange speed on a screen such as a TV, GPS screen or whatever.

  • oh my B thx for explaining then

  • can you get it to where it shows all the street names? im buying this one and it should come here on thursday

  • This unit does show the street names it just doesn't say them!

    Cheers

  • Thank you for this useful review :)

  • Great video...Too anyone out there looking for a low cost gps this is a 10 out of 10. I just got this unit for xmas and It's very very easy too use. Much Easier then my Garmin Etrex.
