the thing is, john plays by feeling, that's why he creates such a good riff that touches peoples emotions. the techniques aren't much important, they are only there to show your emotions.

Each solo isn't just a bunch of repetive notes to leave a song with a bang, they're there with a purpose. Im not hating on this because its not technical, even though its not. Yeah, hes putting emotion into this solo but any musician knows that you put emotion into everything you play. Its actually impossible not too put emotion into your playing if you're a real musician. I know this will get mad thumbs down but these are licks that most guitarists, including myself, were playing in our high school garage bands. Its a very uncreative soloing and I think creativity is the best criteria to judge by
