Actually it's ambient light reflecting off the street post wiring. You can see the reflection follow the course of the wire during the video :)

nett gemacht aber es ist eine spiegelung in der autoscheibe. das licht "fliegt" nicht hinter den masten entlang sondern bleibt zwischen dir und den strommasten. ergo befindet sich dieses licht auf deiner scheibe und wird von dort reflektiert. ein objekt welches sich am himmel fortbewegt würde hinter den masten verschwinden .

I had a very low resolution video camera on my phone, it was brighter then it looks. The light actually is wrapping around those poles. It was an odd light ray...

But this is irrelevant. I'm quite familiar with resolution/compression artifacts and although this effect can cause some bleeding, it wouldn't cover the entire pole and surrounding objects.

Moreover, it is highly improbable that this object matched your vehicle's speed and position then magically stops at the intersection in perfect sync with your vehicle. Sorry, but this appears to be nothing more than a light reflection in the window.

It was really high up, it wasn't flying next to me. If you videotaped the moon or the sears tower passing by...it would stay in the same position for a while.
