There was still a Gareth sob story but the audience were not influenced and the best singer won and created a career. Then Mcmanus came and press stories started to win rather than the singing. Now the biggest programme on tv makes the UK as a musically nation seem pathetic.

Darius had to leave Britain when Gone With The Wind failed so abysmally in London. His girlfriend insisted on going to LA to try his luck. Nothing has been heard of him either side of the Atlantic since. He is effectively a `one-hit-wonder` and went the way of all those poor things.
