I know we need some recruiting, that wasn't the point. One thing to be understood is that 1. Notre Dame is not located in a football state (Texas, California, Georgia, Florida ect...) hence recruiting is tougher. 2. Academic standards at Notre Dame as well as Michigan and Stanford are higher for players than at other schools. Case and point most schools abide by the minimum effort academically, ND does. It may not be the greatest excuse but I'm not tryna do that. Rules are rules guy, no insult.

I'm usually an Irish fan, but as a student at UNC, I had to route for my Tar Heels in this one. It was so frustrating to be at the game and watch these officials work. So much wasted time reviewing obvious calls.

Clausen is going to be a star. Look at that last throw to Floyd, that was on a string like 30 yards. Special, special player and even Butch Davis said Clausen is a special QB because he recruited him also, so he knows, its not ND homerism. Congrats to UNC on the win, but with 5 turnovers, ND still had a chance to win. If this was a home game, or neutral site, ND wins by 10 points at least. UNCs got a lot of young talent also, both teams are looking up majorly.

i was at this game. and the refs were horrible. the only break unc got was that last fumble. youre also forgetting the brooks foster "incomplete pass" which he clearly had possession and took two steps and fell out of bounds. the two uncalled roughing the kicker plays the countless holds and numerous block in the backs. and if it takes referees 5+ minutes to overturn a call they're obviously finding a bullshit reason to overturn it.

If you watched TV, you will see the 12th men trying to exit the field when ND tried to spiked it and he didn't make it. However, it doesn't matter at all since the refs were buzzed before the "final" snap and a review took place for the previous play. As an ND fan I say none of us should worry about this "penalty" on a voided play. Go Irish and best luck to UNC with the rest of the season.

Don't even start about the refs. I thought the Catholic Church was corrupt until I witnessed that game last night. The game should have been over long before the so-called reviewed fumble (which never should have been since ND ran a play prior to the review that ran out the clock). While Carolina did not play all that well, they played better than the Domers, which HELD ALL NIGHT LONG. Know this, it's better to be a fan of a team on the rise than a team being run into the ground.

The inferior team won that game, thanks to the help of some Big Ten officiating. When the Floyd "fumble" happened, the play had been called dead, thus the fumble was unreviewable.
