They never did a whole lot more than add the option for pets, so I hope they really go all out this time around.

I'm so pleased they went with Rise Against, they really deserve the exposure to people who don't listen to this kind of music or have no idea they exist, because their songs are fantastic. The expansion looks fun too, but i wonder if the rabbit holes will still exist for current jobs like chef, military, law enforcer etc or if theyll get revamps.

Firefighters will have to help save people from fires as well as from earthquakes. Architects will be hired by neighbors for ALL different occasions. You know how annoying it can be when your neighbors have 2 bedrooms, yet 5 kids? Well, with the architect career you will be hired to build bedrooms for other sims, add studios for artists, and basically build whatever it is they need! :D I can't wait to see how it's implemented.

Actually that's an easy one to answer: When a game first comes out, it is normal for it to have bugs and glitches. Even by the time the first expansion would come, the designers were aware that the base game could still have some buggy coding. So instead of focusing on pets, seasons, or other things that would build on top of this buggy coding, they worked away from that coding (vacations away from the neighborhood) so they could fix glitches in the neighborhood in preparation of future EPs. :)
