it takes a lot for me to cry, but the dutcher's having to part from the wolves genuinely made me cry. i truly felt their grief of having to leave these beautiful animals after having lived among them for so many years. they had formed a remarkable bond with the pack and dedicated their lives to them. i only wish that these wolves had a similar reproductive anatomy as sheep's do so that jim could have gotten close with them one last time.
if so... then it's a fair assumption to say the least, that it doesn't take quite much to instigate sadness and tears from the likes of your currently bewildered face.
@Scorp316 no Some of them might still be alive , I had a wolf actrully it was in a sancrtuary we owned and i haven't had a wolf die younger than 10 Though most of them about 15 to 18 years .
It was the Christians who demonized wolves as the familiars of Satan: evil creatures whose sole urge was to kill anything and everything. Normally we would treat these views as highly ignorant at best, but when they are from religious people we seem to have to take them at face value. Much of my time is wasted having to deal with these people. There are far too many of them in the US - I am sorry for you.
I love these wolf documenteries, those wolves seemed so nice and loving but it seems you have skipped an episode? There was part 11 which had the alpha kamotz picking a mate and then part 12 it shows they have older pups, why didn't we get to hear about it when they had them?
The Dutchers needed a permit to keepcaptive wildlife on goverment property for scientific reasons...I won`t get into the details of the laws and regulations but in order to conduct certain scientific work or similiar you need a permit.
That guy is fucking weird.

The alphas' coat is a grayish brown - the filming guys' hair is gray, The alpha females' coat is black - the guys' wifes' hair is black!

And now these wolves are free to be shot. It saddens me to no end.
MsTiberiius 9 months ago
@MsTiberiius These wolves are long dead. I believe this was filmed in the 90's, and wolves only live for around 7 years.
Scorp316 7 months ago
@Scorp316 Oh, no, I know that, but the descendants of this. Basically, all of the wolves there.

@gillrocks247 That's one wolf. That's a lonely animal. On average, wolves live for around 7 years. And how do you know for sure it was 100% wolf?

Why did they had to move the pack to somewhere else...
It's so unfair, this almost perfect life...
Why not watching this pack for several generations? T-T

@pawneewolf I think they did have a permit then when it expired they moved the pack to a Indian reservation.

so what was the permit which expired? Their filming permit or the rental of the original land the wolves were on, or what?
