@trulyskewed yes, ou choose to go to work. you could also choose to live in a commune, join the peace corp, become a healer or artist, etc. 'going to work' is a choice, and that's one of the most difficult things to realize and come to terms with but also one of the most wonderful things once accomplished ~ ie. happiness, freedom and a productive life.
@wkjohnston its hard to see the productivness in many jobs tho...ure lucky if uve got a job that fulfills and is interesting! Work is not a free choice, most would stay at home as a first and second choice!
This is a great example of what we can all do to improve our lives and the lives on many others. this is a small step that will seed the changes in society that we need. As we do not yet see the problems that are at hand around the world. We need to take this basic step for not only residential permaculture but urban permaculture!

I'm very glad to have been exposed to this concept of permaculture last year. It has changed the way I garden. This guy is interesting, designing based upon each person paradigm and limitations. Considering one's values and develop certain strategies to compliment a certain lifestyle. Hmm.. Little steps it seems lead to what is eventually a different life. I can't even remember when I started changing, and how I even got to the point where I'm at, it is all so very quaint! GREAT video!!! 5 *'s
Its not necessary to turn your compost everyday. It has been proven that by doing so you actually lose nutrients. I guess he must be in a rush to have finished compost.
Keep urinating on the pile! Nitrogen is easy to come by, but it freaks people out! I mean, what's the big deal right? Tyler Durden says, "Urine is sterile. You can drink it." In China they use human manure.
Also, how can you have that garden in San Francisco and not be rich?
nice and sensible ideas here.

Have you tracked down the Montreal Permaculture Guild yet? Where ever you are, there's someone doing something along Permaculture lines. Good luck.
