I would like to be neutral in all this. But realistically speaking, it is more likely that the U.S. could/would defeat Russia rather than the opposite. The U.S. still spends more money on research and development and is still an average of 1-1.5 generations ahead of Russian military technology.

Many believe that just because most of the Russian naval ships were built back in the late 70s, or the 80s, that they are less advanced than the ones deployed by the US and NATO. Not true! For example, Slava class ships like the famous Moskva, are equipped with cutting edge sensors, electronic counter measures, and missile defenses that have no rival in the West. Aegis class vessels are very advanced too, but are way outgunned by ships like the Moskva.

I would like to be neutral in all this. But realistically speaking, it is more likely that the U.S. could/would defeat Russia rather than the opposite. The U.S. still spends more money on research and development and is still an average of 1-1.5 generations ahead of Russian military technology.
I'm just saying this is fact. I am American but I don't have anything against Russians, hopefully are countries never fight one another in the future.

I have to respectfully disagree with you. Many believe that just because most of the Russian naval ships were built back in the late 70s, or the 80s, that they are less advanced than the ones deployed by the US and NATO. Not true! For example, Slava class ships like the famous Moskva, are equipped with cutting edge sensors, electronic counter measures, and missile defenses that have no rival in the West. Aegis class vessels are very advanced too, but are way outgunned by ships like the Moskva.
