Are the edges rough, or are they smooth like you'd get when you just buy a pick? Sounds like a great idea though =), might get myself and my guitar teacher one.
Just got mine. Made 53 picks just from some plastic clamshell packages laying around. A bit thin but glueing a couple together should do the trick. Also punched out every stupid club card I had in my wallet. Picks work awesome. Thanks
i always get mad when i lose my picks and im supposed to be playing somewhere! so much for using coins! im going to get one and keep it in my guitar case and never be pickless agian :)
I have just ordered my pick punch, and i am quite excited! Can you tell me the roughly the safest thickness to use if i was making picks from plasticard (High Impact Polystyrene- the same plastic used in model making) would 1mm be ok? thanks!
Have not tried that material yet. Let me know how it works out. I will put that material on my list on the website as a tested material. Most materials under 1mm are ok. Some are just too hard. I am working on making this punch indestructable so you don't have to ever worry about it but it takes quite a bit of time and effort to retool the factory for changes.
if you're really smart you'll do what i do, buy some cheap shit plastic from some shop, make like 200 picks, and flog em to all me friends at school who play guitar for about 20 pence, and seeing as plectrums are normally at least 50 pence whaere ever you go, everyone's happy
This is one of the GREATEST inventions ever made! $24.95 for this could save you $100 easily. I get so frustrated when I lose a pick, but with this, I don't have to worry because it's as easy finding plastic around the house! :D I love it!
