I played a demo of uncharted 3 at best buy, and hated it. I don't know if it was just a broken demo (which many of them are), but the game seemed more centered on visuals rather than controls. I couldn't see the floor, so I would continually walk off ledges. Plus, I'd continually get into fist fights and had issues getting to my gun.
Uncharted 3??? No way, it should've been either skyrim or arkham city. U2 was better than U3, and i think U3 was nowhere near skyrim and arkham city. AC was basically the same thing U2 was, an amazing sequel which stood above almost every game that year. U3 wasn't anything new to me, the ending was predictable, no new characters, and short story. AC is the best licensed video game ever in my opinion. and skyrim was ridiculously good, especially the amount of content it gave.

It is quite literally a living experience, the most unique and masterful of adventures. People only think that it's not a game because it closely resembles films in it's presentation but there's nothing wrong with how it shows itself off you know. Lets just be happy for Naughty Dog for winning this one because they deserve it :)

It is good but I prefer fantasy, I was waiting for five years and it paid off, so my goty is skyrim, although uncharted is definitely getting a second play through on my console!

I'm surprised that Dark Souls and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings were nominated. You would think that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Portal 2 would be nominated (like the VGAs). Good for them. They chose their own choices and that makes them stand out. Also, DARK SOULS FTW. That game totally deserved a nomination.
uncharted didnt deserve it the game was glitchy with average ps3 grafics and nothing new or improved it just made everything bigger and the multiplayer was actually worse
GT has made some weird decisions (like no nomination of Deus Ex HR for Best soundtrack or choosing MW3 as best mp and fps and so on), but this one is ok.

Skyrim is far too glitchy to win in my opinion. Great game but you can't help but feel it's unfinished when a number of quests won't work for you or a number of other issues. Arkham was great but didn't stay with you beyond the ending. Witcher is great but... Perhaps not up to the competition.same with dark souls

uncharted 3 deserved it. It's a full package filled with an amazing story, breath taking visuals, beautiful presentation, variety in game play, and fun co op and multiplayer.
Sure other games had their own amazing qualities, but I think uncharted 3's incredible story gave it the upper hand

I'm surprised that Dark Souls and The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings were nominated. You would think that The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword and Portal 2 would be nominated (like the VGAs). Good for them. They chose their own choices and that makes them stand out. Also, DARK SOULS FTW. That game totally deserved a nomination.

Wow, I didn't see that coming.
GT has made some weird decisions (like no nomination of Deus Ex HR for Best soundtrack or choosing MW3 as best mp and fps and so on), but this one is ok.
I personally would have picked Deus Ex HR though.

... Why does everyone under 20 keep talking about zelda ? I mean YES zelda is awesome. But it's just getting old. always the same thing same story same annoying princess (XD) Just like mario. It was good at the begining but now it's too repetitive. The only reason it stays here is because new people are getting into gaming so they don't notice how repetitive it gets game after game after game if you finished them all 100times each

Skyrim is far too glitchy to win in my opinion. Great game but you can't help but feel it's unfinished when a number of quests won't work for you or a number of other issues. Arkham was great but didn't stay with you beyond the ending. Witcher is great but... Perhaps not up to the competition.same with dark souls

I played both Uncharted 3 and Skyrim... gotta say Uncharted 3 left me wanting more where as my 200hr play through of skyrim kinda made me glad I was done and never touching it again....so take your pick.

uncharted 3 deserved it. It's a full package filled with an amazing story, breath taking visuals, beautiful presentation, variety in game play, and fun co op and multiplayer.
Sure other games had their own amazing qualities, but I think uncharted 3's incredible story gave it the upper hand
