I was about 10 when these come out. All the kids liked them. I remember a boy at my school dressing up as Adam Ant trying to sing like him on the school stage. You couldn't really fault this band. Still good to watch and listen to now

This video is a bit disappointing though. They are out of sync with one another vocally and the song is lacking the energy that makes it amazing.

It almost seems as though they are trying way to hard. If I had paid money to see this performance I would have been extremely let down.

Maybe they should have rehersed a few more times ..... Not saying it has to be squeeky clean polished, but for a bigger production like this you would think it would have been tighter, and together more as a whole. It's pretty choppy, and the drummers meter is floating ahead and behind the beat. I think the drummer on our right, and you can even see the other drummer look over at him a couple times. Adam is riding the sharp and flat rollercoaster, and his lack of conditioning shows thru as well.

I think it was flattering Johnny Depp used imagary from Adam Ant. You must remember folks that Bruce Witzkin who also played with Adam is now playing with Johnny Depp's band and probably gave him tips. Depp also threw a party for Adam in the mid 90's so decent bloke.

Two drummers not a new concept, the Allman Brothers had two drummers, Jai Johanni Johanssen and Butch Trucks, and the Greatful Dead had two drummers, Mickey Hart & Bill Kreutzmann.  Other bands have done it too.. But yes, I love the two drummers. Burundi beat!

AFSooner - funny you should mention Prince - Prince actually got a lot from Adam Ant for his Sign O' The Times era look years later - ribbons in hair which was styled almost exactly AND even painted crosses & such on his face in white...

Perhaps, Depp used Adam as reference but I highly doubt it. Adam was very original, not Disney produced, he was beyond that crap. Adam definetly was charismatic original, I do see the influence of New Romantics but he was a tad bit more off on his own thing.
