Im using the 64-bit version and all i can say is that ITS ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!! In my opinion its faster then XP, they made superfetch less resource intensive, the Areo interface has less strain on your graphics card and uses less RAM. There are less useless services running in the background. The only thing i dont like is that Adobe after effects, premiere, encore, etc are a little incompatible for me, but this isn't Microsoft's fault. Can't wait for Adobe CS5!!!

well, this can be caused by a couple of things. First off more RAM could help but recording is usually done from mostly the processor so i would say upgrade your processor if you want your computer to not slowdown as much during a camtasia recording session.

Yes, it'll slow it down a bit depending on the quality u set the video to. But no, no much. So far, CamStudio is the best. I've tried Camtasia, and Hypercam 2, but they don't run as good. Get CamStudio instead.

lmao bud, win7 32 bit needs 1g ram, recommended 2 gb, and you have 1,5. It needs processor intel core 2 duo 1,8 ghz, and you have mobile, which is 2000 times worse, and when you record your screen you complain about your pc slowing down? lmao man, you gotta buy a new pc with intel core 2 duo 2,5 ghz at least (i have 2 ghz :P) and at least 2 gb ram. thats my opinion :-)

try installing another web browser other than Internet explorer such as chrome or firefox, if the problem persist, then it's behind your net connection, make sure you have the correct NET Card installed. gl

very true ... i didnt even had to install other drivers (like Chipset drivers, LAN drivers, ... )Even the Graphics card drivers were pre-installed with WIndows ... I had to install them manually every time in XP ...

Windows 7 has an awesome database of drivers included with it ...

Hi, I have a problem, any help would be cool; I have it installed and activated Windows 7 Ultimate (7600), its the retail version, I paid £159 for it... but my laptop keeps turing its self off if I leave it longer than an hour with out doing anything... It's fully activated so it cant be that, my power plan is set correcty, its not set to go into standby after so long etc... I have no idea whats wrong, is 7600 deffo the final build? Thanks

Well not its not, as it has never once done it on Vista. Windows 7 is the worst thing to happen to Microsoft since Windows 2000 thats all. My HDD is perfectly fine, and always has been :)

ye KingMarduk9279 .. hi this is anil from india.... go to screensaver propertis there u click the power menu botton.. check power schemes & just chek the ...turn off hard disk : never (default option) it should be enable otherwise it off automatically.... i hope u can solve ur problem by cheching this..

Wow, thanks alot! Didnt do it as you described but similar, found the hard disk power settings and chanted it to never, hopefully this will work, ive had no problems since ive reinstalled Windows 7 but hopefully this will prevent it, thanks.

@KingMarduk9279 Maybe you should try re-activating your operating system because sometimes on mine, it won't ask for a product key. You have to go to the system properties, and try activating your operaing system with the genuine product key. Or you can try slipstreaming the installation to automatically make the setup answer every single question it supposed to ask. That will make it automated. if it has the RTM key inside and it scans it, this time it should work. Maybe you are using an eval.

Agreed haha, Windows will never be good just admit it. Ive used it most of my life, and then discovered Mac as a recording musician and wow. Never going back, theres nothing I need in Windows....even Win7 like oh wow snapping, OS X has had stuff like that since Tiger (Expose).

So they are tow very different worlds- Mac is simple fun easy and fast, and windows is slow buggy crashes and virus filled. now which one is the logical choice? lol

Every OS has it's little diseases in the beginning. Snow Leopard is not buggy at all, it only has it's little compatibility issues, but those are being fixed at this very moment. Give it some time and soon after the first major patch this OS will kick ass, just like the previous Max OS Leopard did. At least Snow Leopards child-diseases are nothing compared to Vista (even today) that just loves to crash every fucking time you try to do more then just one thing at the same time.

I guess Windows didn't recommend it for you because your pc is too slow, maybe... If you really want it (if that's the problem.) Go to start

and right click on computer and select properties. Then go to advanced system settings. Then click on setting in the performance bar. Then adjust for best appearance.

No, it isnt too slow... Hmm, are you sure that you are not running 16 bit color? If so, you can change it to 32 bit color.

My ver is.. 7600 RTM , has this bug and trouble with drivers of Bluetooth.

The system runs normal, like Xp or slow than XP , The 64 bits can be used in compilation of programming , but in day a day apps , the speed is the same like old systems.

That's odd; I've no problems with my external harddrive or flash drives at all. They read/write at the same speeds as XP. Are you sure you have RTM Build 7600? It's very possible that you could have accidentally installed a buggy beta build instead of the RTM.
