I know what you mean, but I found 2 things really help...

1 - scoot the 3D glasses down on your nose a bit and tilt your head back a bit. the lenses need to be a certain distance from your eyes for proper focal point placement.

2 - be sure to focus your eyes to the distance of the images most in focus in the current frame. at some points in the film, the depth of field shifts significantly, sometimes keeping parts of the frame deliberately out of focus.

I got to see the movie and its above average. You will find it entertaining. But its not what they hype it to be either. Imax 3D is expensive. And to make matters worse it goes over the 2 hour mark. So unless you are a warrior, you will be tempted to go buy something to drink and something to eat. Watching a movie like this is an expensive endeavor. But i enjoyed it. If you like the trailers then you will like the movie. If you didn't, then you wont enjoy the movie. It is what it is.

It didn't help it releasing it on December. But it will do well on DVD and Blueray. Its a good experience. I don't get impressed that easy.

LoL 3D televisions. We have had TV's capable of that since the CRT TV's were out, all you need for a 3D TV is a refresh rate greater than 120 Hz, which that is what the CRT's had and LCD's only have 60-80 (new once have 120)

Yeah, the visuals are spectacular but after digesting on the film, I felt the plot was somewhat pretentious in its political commentary, ie war for energy resources, destruction of the environment etc. Beyond my little criticism, I still felt it was an awe inspiring film, it's one of my favorite films but it was just disappointing that the whole underlying story was so pervasive. Recommend anyone to see it in 3D, even just for the visuals.

I was simply amazed. The story was great and the animation was top-notch. I don't think I have seen a movie like this (mostly animated) - so detailed an so beautiful.

And I just love those kind of plots in which the main character learns something completely strange to him (same reason I loved The Matrix and didn't like the other 2)
