WHY IS THIS SO AMAZING ???? this lady is doing what every horse owner should be able to do BUT BECAUSE the world is filled with ignorant brutes, scared of horses, dressage queens who ride horses like tractors, and never groom them or tack them , yes I get that seem extraordinary. I pity the horses to be around such ignorant people in this world who obviously should get an education before going to any stable. GROW UP PEOPLE AND DO WHAT CHERYL DOES

It appears she is a student of five star Parelli Instructor David Lichman. While his program is PNH based he is quite eclectic in his knowledge. She did mention clicker type training as well.

I don't use a clicker, but I do use a verbal marker followed by a treat to capture some behaviors. This is reinforcement training similar to clicker. Of course, building the relationship is the most important aspect.

The Spanish Walk?? I can't speak for Cheryl, but I teach it by lightly tapping the leg with a stick and when they lift it, reward. You shape the behavior giving hte best reward to the best response until it becomes a spanish walk.

May I ask whhat the purpose is behind using a lunge whip (?) rather than a CS in this case?

Excellent question! The lunge whip - which I carry in segments of this video, has a very light lash which I toss over Cam's back as a "friendly game". I use rather like a caress. The CS with savvy string attached is too heavy and too short for my purpose. Thanks for asking and think of this as "outside the box", not PNH. I learned it from a wonderful circus lady named Katja Schumann. - cj
