I've always wondered about people who try to collect all the RDJ tracks ever made. All the synthesizers and sequencers and samplers can be reprogrammed on the fly pretty much. All you have to do is twiddle a couple of knobs (haha) and press a couple of buttons and you'll have a completely new song. It can be different every time you play it. On top of that, alot of RDJ tracks are just random synth noises. It jsut seems futile...
Yeah you're kind-of right there; the patterns are well considered but in these early blive tracks the sounds are experimental to some extent, and at the mercy of his hardware. He knows what he's doing though so not much is actually "random" . Not all aphex twin music is great either but sure enough some fan who is incapable of being objective will thumb down. Bring it; I'm just being realistic. His studio stuff/released stuff would have all been well made and taken alot of effort.
it is unreleased caustic window track off of the album that was never released, dont worry its all on utube, it would be nice to own on vinyl though. lives in a bank loads of analogue equipment new and old yet all we get is digital torture. no more beautiful or nasty analog sounds just a laptop and a shit soundcard, fukin gr8...not!!!
i like the sound of digital sometimes, kinda like how a distorted guitar is shitty quality but it has its own character. i'd really love either an analog synth or extremely hifi digital va though
sell it on ebay? that's pretty lame. either side with the fans and give it away for free in the name of spreading art or side with the artist and don't profit from other people's hard work.
ahhh a lot of live stuff would be combinations of on the spot mixing and live music, so it's likely that this is just that... i don't think it's a track off any album that i've heard, but probably is just one of many unreleased beats from his extensive library of beats... sounds like something from his richard d james album stage...
sounds like something an African tribe would listen. awesome!!!
