I know the Tiger's pretty dumb, but he was still always my favourite and I always picked him. After all, how awesome is it to be able to say "I have a several hundred feet tall tiger who can summon fire and lightning"? I think Black & White 2 was alright(infact I'm replaying it right now, having just replayed B&W1) but I agree 1 was far better. 2 holds your hand so goddamn much.

the tiger is best at fighting, the monkey learns the fastest, and the cow is in the middle of both. The monkey can't fight a tiger because the tiger would pwn but it learns faster. I love the tiger the best though... :)

I miss the simple, intuitive setup of Black and White 1. Black and White 2 made it cheap and stupid, just buying an upgrade with points instead of teaching your creature by hand. Sure it's more convenient, but it's nowhere near as awesome.

Black and White 2 took the single most awesome, original, free-form, imaginative god-game ever, and turned it into a shitty RTS, complete with a building bar, upgrade menu, and money resources. Such a waste.

I personally prefer B&W2, wherin you can actually tell what your creature is thinking and it DOESN'T require constant surveillance to ensure it doesn't start throwing people everywhere. I admit that teaching stuff by-hand is more fun though. I'd personally like B&W1-style rules with B&W2's improvements(minus both's flaws). It would be awesome.

@Etimos I agree. Black and White 2 had WAY too many Menus and bars to slide. I loved how everything you did in BnW1 was pretty much done in the gameworld and without a menu to click from and select. Even the creature lost most of it's lifelikeness, as you had statistics to see how much he knew of what behavior and how much he thought that was good and that bad.

@TheCrispism Well, I'm afraid you're wrong. As an RTS, Black and White sucks. On the field of other RTS giants, it just doesnt have the playability to make it any fun at all. All the enemy actions are so single-mindedly scripted there's no challenge, and without any kind of skirmish mode or multiplayer, once you've completed a level, there's no challenge, no strategy to doing it again, because everything will happen exactly as it did the last time.

So no, as an RTS, B&W2 is shitty.

My creature is wolf and he is...hmmm... 37% in growth, but are learned water, water increase, storm, storm increase, storm extreme, heal, heal increase, food, food increase, wood, pack of animals, mega blast, fire, fire increase, fire extreme, lighting, lighting extreme, forest, strenght.. maybe i forget something :D easiest way to teach your creature is give a miracle bubble and then get him to put it down, and then again, give it and put it down, he will learn fast without casting your mana :)

Actually there is a fastre way: make a miracle dispenser (last of the civic buildings); cast the miracle on that dispenser; take the bubble that formed and give it to the creature, if he is big enough to handle such objects and if he is not dumb/hungry to eat it then he will learn double + you don't need to use so much mana

It casts, when it thinks it's necessary (for a good creature casting healing wonders more often and a bad creature just randomly firing off a fireball :-P)

e.g. if the creature has learned what the warehouse is for and it notices that people are hungry and it's good enough it will try to cast a food wonder (if it has learned it)

1. Je kunt ze iig halen bij het schermutselen spel (oefen spel waar je tegen 1,2 of 3 goden speelt) in t land waar je tegen 1 god speelt. creature swarm is de evil versie van de pidgeons. Als je het wonder doet krijg je ongelooflijk veel geloof!! Handig om t je creature te leren ;)

2. Zelfde land als hierboven beschreven op een berg tussen jou rijk en je tegenstander in.

3.check mijn vid van island 3 ;) Dan wordt t duidelijk.

thx for responses but what i mean is this..your entire creature profile seems to be spread throughout the b&w game folder..there is no 1 specific file for backing up your creature..ive had to restart creatures with every re-install or pc crash..it would be great to save to disc and continue..i dont know about you guys but when they get to a couple of hundred years old you tend to get attached to them lol

7. The collorfull leash isn't that great for teaching stuff, but it is possible. It is really MUCH BETTER to teach him stuff with the leash of knowledge.

There is not a 'best creature'. Each creature has its own way of points he is good at and some weak spots. Just choose the creature that fits the way you are playing or just the creature u like :) But the lion has the best overall skills.

I have never played B&W2, but the graphics looks much better on B&W2. But as far as I know, most ppl like B&W1 better. The most difference are in B&W2 u have an army and your creature can have a 'job' or w/e u wanna call it (fighter, entertainer and some others). But in B&W1 u can controll ur creature while it's battling and in B&W2 u can't. It's actually just a mather of taste which game u like better.

you know in skirmish i sacrificed having teaching my creature food,wood, and water miracles to give him Mega Blast Extreme,Storm Extreme,Fireball Extreme,Lightning Increase,Heal Extreme,Winged Creatures,and Wolf Miracle increase, took about a week to get him to learn it all but its worth it its super hard to find the extremes but the fireball extreme is easy to find on Land 5

Nuggetol.. the best way to get your creature to grow is on the 2nd land (Battle with Lethys With Khazaar) and go to the singing stones and press in order "1,1,8,8,9,9,8,6,6,5,5,3,3,1" it will turn night so get your creature to sleep at home another way is to go to skirmish 1 god vs 1 god and where the megablasts one shot miracles are theres a few mushrooms.. those give your creature growth spurts and increases the rate of growth

sure the ghrahpics are better and the creature is easyer to control. But black and white 2 is more like sim city rather than black and white.

Your not a god in the 2nd game your more of a mayor. and the funny part is theres no multiplayer, not even offline skermishes.

Lionhead didnt put much effort into the 2nd game at all.
