  • This is certainly a valid interpretation but if possible you should edit out all this talking at the beginning. She doesn't start singing til like 3 mins into it.

  • I'm not sure how you can watch the original Brel "Jacques Brel - La Valse a Mille Temps (1961)" and reach the conclusion she reaches- that there is no undertone of deeper complexity or pain to this song, particularly given the elaborate imagery around the wheel within a wheel and the sliding shells and the disappearing peas and how high we are and the whole world is so high and spinning, etc.

  • The tempo proceeds in such a way as to make the original imagery appear like a pleasent dream which gradually goes out of control in its constant roller coaster stimulation of the senses and the very mechanisms and ambiance which brought such an exhilarating pleasure not so long ago have now turned on us and we can't seem to get off the very same ride we were so excited to step onto not long ago.

  • I was listening NPR Radio today Saturday 12/05/09 and hear those beautiful song in french, will like to know where can I buy her music ? Please!!!
