  • Hi Gav, It is all good! You are rockin the new look, maybe start a new trend. Your video's whatever the topic are always great!!

    Take care,

    Andrea

  • Okay really last thing - Vanilla Ice started a generational trend of cuts just like the one youre currently sporting - google if youve forgotten, its quite dashing, lol!

  • Okay need to clarify, for the MS Vloggers who are truly in a comfortable and happy place with their life and diagnosis, I take my hat off to you all and hope that one day I can be too!

Gav, I have so much to learn but while Im battling through the initial stages, I have really appreciated seeing both the postive and raw emotions life with MS can bring, signing out now! lol...

  • @MSBunnyCuddles you really have no reason to clarify your comment, I'm sure one day you'll get there too, I'm not sure anyone is in that truly happy, acceptance place. I used to think I was, turns out I was quite angry and frustrated below the surface. It is just how we can live with this unwelcome 'hitchhiker' ;-)

  • Hi Gav, Really looking forward to learning more about what makes Gav tick :) Please dont for a minute question the value of you talking openly and frankly about the highs and lows you have had on your MS journey. You impacted on me and many others in a most meaningful way - I truly admire a positive attitude, dont get me wrong, but I also value genuine emotion and 'keeping it real', kinda makes me feel like less of a freak - thinking 'why cant I be as happy as others appear to be? Take care!

  • Woohoo re walking to the pub!! Did u manage to walk home afterwards or were you too "legless" ;-) I look far drunker than i am after a couple of beers. Your zebraesque hair made me giggle :-)

  • That's it - you haven't got your glasses on =) only took me 5.10 to realise!!

  • @ifiknewuwherecoming no getting anything past you ;-)

  • That's a cool haircut!! love the facial hair too~

  • @mscavsfan thanks =), the tache is going soon though, not my scene I think lol

  • really good Gav, im happy for you, walking 500m is a lot, BIG achievement. im fighting to walk 100m with my walker without stopping. c u soon in our next infusion.

  • @fstifano you are of course, correct. In the grand scheme of things it inconsequential but for me, in my situation, its huges =) Its just unfortunate that it means so much.

I'm sure if anyone can force their way through, its you Fab ;-)

  • I feel a bit less fed up with having MS when I hear someone else grumbling about it....:) .

A young woman with MS on TV the other day basically made is seem like everyone with MS is a scrounger and should be able to get a job like her...but she can actually still walk pretty good and can't be suffering much with the tiredness. ....'yet'.

  • @peterjol what program was that? It may not have been all the womans fault as the tv company could have cherry picked what they wanted her to be saying.

  • @thehappycovv Hi Gav it was on the BBC news I think ..it was just something about how the government is cracking down on people claiming benefits and how it won't be doctors deciding if you are fit for work any more. The way they the did it, it came across as if people with MS are probably cheating the system because of the way she was saying it doesn't stop 'her' working.

  • @peterjol Its frustrating, but MS is such a complex condition, it can't be explained in just a three minute tv peace, unfortunatly they just have to boil it down to the lowest common denominator, which doesn't really effectively explain anything to anyone worth mentioning.

  • @thehappycovv Yes ..it's just that I am sure most people 'without' MS would have formed the impression from that TV article that people with MS are cheating the system if they are on benefits....I can easily imagine that's exactly what I would have thought when I was fit and healthy. I think it was 'designed' to give that impression.

  • @peterjol unfortunatly, it all comes down to the picture the director wants to paint. In the world of tv, there is no grey, just black or white and the world of MS is nothing but shades of grey
