Hey! I'm fully satisfied with this guitar. It's easy to play, and is very versatile for any kind of music. As far as tuning, it stays in tune pretty good as long as you don't overbend. The whammy bar is probably the biggest flaw with the guitar, because it de-tunes the guitar most of the time, so I rarely use it.
@metallica865 Mine never worked correctly.. might be a flaw in the bridge assembly or something. Glad to hear that it' works fine with other GRX20's though :p
@gunsnroses454 It would be a good idea if you are looking for a versatile and good quality guitar at an inexpensive price. If you are willing to spend more, you could find something better. But within this guitar's price range, it's one of the best in my opinion.
@Daddario10s ok good thanks because i really can't go any higher but i can't keep getting this guitar i have fixed every couple months either thanks man
@Daddario10s I was thinking about getting a GRX20 to replace my first guitar - a Korean made Strat that has never really worked very well, and has had electrical problems since I got it.
I hear a lot of people that aren't very happy with this guitar's tremolo bar like you said because it de-tunes, but wouldn't this actually be a problem with the machine heads? Seems to me like the strings are just slipping. So, do you think locking machine heads would fix this problem?
@ElectricRain0 I don't think the "de-tuning" is caused by the machine heads, I think it's a poor adjustment of the spring mechanism on the bridge (with my guitar anyways). It can be adjusted but I never really figured out a good setup so it keeps the guitar tuned.
dude excellent.....can u post a lesson video for dat?.....anyways how often does this guitar goes out of tune coz its a non locking tremolo bridge....and u r doing some crazy bends over there........have u tried grg121?
I'm finally purchasing my first guitar later on this week, and it's pretty much down to this and the Ibanez RG5EX1. I think the RG5EX1 would probably be better, but it's also $400, when I can get this for under $150. Would you recommend this?
@RebarVictimo If you have the money to invest for it, I would go for The RG5EX1. It definitely has more advanced features, like a 5 way pickup and 24 frets. Also has higher quality hardware.
Yeah, I was really looking forward to it, but (again) this is my first guitar, so I don't wanna drop $400 on something that I'm not sure I'll enjoy. If I spend $150 and don't like it, it's a hell of a lot better than $400. I'll upgrade if I enjoy playing guitar.
before i saw your vid i was thinking of having exactly as yours set up-Ibanez GRX20Z with Roland Micro Cube. both makes a good deal for a very low price.
@F4ther0fLies It's Ibanez's basic model, so it sells for a pretty low price. But you get great Ibanez quality from it! I recommend it more for hard rock / metal than anything else. Depends what you're into. I had mine for about 3 years so far and never had a problem with it!
Great cover! I have that guitar, and it's absolutely great. But the thing I don't like about it is the overload of the color black(even though black is my fav. color). xD
how's the guitar?....is it worth buying it?...did you have any problems so far?....thanks :)...by the way...you're very good at guitar...rock on, dude \m/
Thanks! This guitar is a basic Ibanez model, it's good if you're starting to play. I had it for about three years and it still plays very good. Didn't have any problems so far, but I find the hardware on it is probably the biggest flaw, it it kind of cheap quality, but that's about it.
I FREAKING WANT THAT GUITAR!!!!! DO WANT!!! Hopefully my dad will get it for christmas for moi!

Nothing really outstanding, and it is also hard to get it right so it doesn't ruin your tuning. I don't use it personally.
