  • Wow. Those harmonies are right there! Glad I happened to find this video on my tour de YouTube today.

  • A good feelin to know !!! POCO. thats my favorite line-up (1972)

  • pocolova thank you for the upload , this is just South of Heaven on the road to perfection! They all look great and sound even better, so thanks to you tube for clearing the space for an increible rendition of a great song from an even greater musical organization: POCO! Country Rock On SHINDIGGERS!

  • they opened with this in '74...believe it or not Frampton opened for them (still have the stolen poster from the theater)...blew me away with this song...I was there to see Frampton cause I was a big Humble Pie fan...been a POCO fan ever since...

  • way cool upload dude...i like it live..Tim still has that that voice. and the harmonies still there ...i believe they could make another go at it..

  • @dbeater1 Timmy's voice is like sugar...I know there's another line here but everything I think of to say will sound gay...but I heard him sing twice with Poco and twice with the Eagles....I heard him sing this with POCO and heard him sing the end of "Rose of Cimirron"...and it was friggin beautiful..only thing more beautiful was George sing ABOVE Timmy......

  • @Crowsfan55 you are right on about George...ya can tell these ole boys have taken care of themselves, they sound as good as they did back in the day.

  • such chemistry, unless i REALLY needed the money i'd tell tell the ego-les bye bye

  • Lovely to see Poco together. Any chance of a SC stopover?

  • For the record, Jim Messina is not in this vid; shown are, from left to right, Richie Furay, Rusty Young, Timothy B. Schmit, Paul Cotton (strumming), and lurking to the far right, Jack Sundrud playing bass. Rusty, Paul and Jack are currently in Poco. Richie is not, though he is making quite a few guest appearance with the band lately. Tim, of course, is an Eagle. The weekend show following this DID feature Messina, and the amazing George Grantham, five years past his stroke.

  • Sorry Yokoknowitall, I should have been more specific. This venue was in Jimmy Messina's hometown of Santa Ynez. He arranged for Poco, Richie and Tim to use this bar to rehearse for the gigs coming up that week. Messina was not only there that night at the Maverick but was on stage 80% of the time. He just doesn't sing on this song. My notes do refer to "former bandmates" when mentioning Richie, Jimmy and Tim. Hope that clears up your record.

  • awesome! I'M GLAD I found this!!

  • Thanks for upload. Just great! Poco rock!

  • Thanks so much for sharing this historic moment......
