  • i really love to go that exhibition...=)

  • Nice, but 'spensive...

  • This is a great idea. As a host of my own Hosted Video Home Tours, I see this as a huge advantage to a "simple sheet of paper" in my hand. Eye contact to the camera is key. Can't wait til I can afford one!

  • Sorry, but I feel the iPad Promoter is one of the worst ideas ever, at least for public speakers who are in front of a live audience . A real, transparent prompter is hard enough for most people to use well, even when someone else is regulating the speed. This is a good way to make people destroy all of their eye contact with their audience and sound robotic. A simple sheet of paper with notes is a far superior 'prompter."

  • @tjwalker This is more for reporters, not people giving speeches.

  • @woodjosiah Fair point. but i still see them causing more problems than solving.

  • @tjwalker Not sure why you think these are only for addressing audiences, or why they are "the worst idea ever?" Sure, do I trust people more when they are speaking without one... sure. There are lots of reasons to go with Prompters... and the paper thing... well that just doesn't work in Television my friend.

  • Also prompters are critical for news operations where someone can't be expected to learn all their lines in a short period of time. Or where the person is speaking on subject matters that they may not be experts in. Where they have too much information to cover off the cuff, it only makes sense to have it scripted. Without prompters, much of the talent out there would look pretty bad.

  • @SevenTwist I agree you don't want to use paper on tv if you are being interviewed. However. a single sheet with very large font can work better for most people than trying to read a teleprompter. I think this is the worst idea ever because reading from a teleprompter is really hard for most people. Not hard to literally read. But hard to do it without sounding like a zombie
