It surprises me how many people like this song. If there were no countries, we'd still fight over sports, music, all our personal annoyances, etc. W/o religion I might be a Nietzschean or something, so I wouldn't be any nicer, even if I did live for today more than I do now (which is doubtful), plus I would be more inclined to work for my own benefit rather than that of others, so I'd want possessions to my self even more. It is hard to estimate the power of pride & greed in a godless world tho.
