Well, that's one opinion. I'm removing your comment due to its profane content. You're free to repost it, minus the f-bomb. I only kill if there's a threat to my safety, or the safety of others. Or, if I feel like it. Neither was the case with this mouse.
@peterkellyflores No, you killed it, too. You just left the local mice of the area you released it into do your dirty work for you. You're just as much the cause of its death as if you'd snapped its neck yourself.
I don't mind that, mind you - but I figured if you really cared about being "humane", you'd want to know that releasing it in a distant area is -NOT- the way to go.
pkflores:..after which, you can be sure, the local resident mice tore him to shreds and ate him alive. Seriously. Mice are terribly territorial. Thought you might want to know so you know for sure the fate you're sentencing it to should you decide to do that again. The only humane option if you don't want to just let it live with you uncaged and you don't want to raise it for the rest of its natural life is to kill it as quickly & painlessly as possible. Anything else guarantees a painful death.
That little bastard is gonna destroy the R value of your insulation then chew the wires in your walls and burn your house down. You should have washed the mouse in 212 degree water !!!

Never fear. I set him free in a grove miles from home not long after this video was recorded. Nonetheless, thanks for your touching concerns! ; )
