I have liked everything else that Ska has put out....this one just did not sit well on my tongue. It had almost like a....I don't know....hairspray bitterness? to the hops aftertaste. I may have to give it another try though because it's pretty easy to get here in Texas...and usually what you say is spot on...and that is not what I tasted!
Funny you mention the cool can though...haha that's what got me to try them out originally.
@JoSmoBN Unfortunately this is the only beer from Ska I have had. But it is a great IPA as far as im concerned. I would love to be able to get this year round!
Nice review. I'm going to be in Durango, Colorado in the next few weeks so I might need to check out the brewery. We don't get their products here but I will probably ship myself some!
Ah man, that new intro was Money!!! And I loved Ska bro, huge Reel Big Fish fan...Drink Lika Fish...Reel Big Fish, Hmmm is there a connection? CO is truly the Napa Valley of Breweries.
@drinklikafish1 HAHA Thanks man the new intro took me around 20 hours in Adobe After Effects when it was all said and done to get it where I can edit it for every review. And yeah CO is really starting to get out there with the quality of brews the state is producing. Its probably the biggest craft beer in a can state :)
I was not really a fan of this one.. good but.. I would reach for a 90 min or something else before this. I also think its funny that this video is in 1080p.. is that nessicary? :)
@Brionkendo I dont think its entirely fair to compare this to DFH 90 min. Thats a DIPA where this is just a plain up IPA. It would be more comparable to 60 min in which case this has a very different and much larger flavor/hop profile. HAHA and yeah I guess they dont need to be in 1080 but its really only a difference of about 15 mins of rendering time for me so I figure the beer pour in 1080 is worth it. THANKS!
@Brionkendo How do they compare price wise? I'm guessing that as a year round can beer, Mod.Hop. must be cheaper. If so, I would say it is unfair to compare at a different price point and with a slightly different style profile. I hope to try this one soon althought I can't say I've seen the can in the store before. I'm a big fan of DFH60.
this is one bad ass brew!
