The string part made me really lose focus. I wasn't paying attention at all to the flute beat boxing because it sounded like the strings were on a constant replay! ugh. The beginning really annoys me but afterwards it gets better. :) Amazing beat boxing and congrats to the rest for not falling asleep. xD
I like the solo work or the cello duets better, the flautboxing really gets lost in the orchestration here. Cool that it's getting used in a larger context though.
I really loved the feel of this second half. It lived up to my expectations. Is there a possibility of getting an mp3 version of this concert anytime soon?
@miamigurl123 String orchestra needs a chance to know what bassists feel like, because this is all they play. All the time. I'm sure they're pissed too.
@hancelotto That wasn't the point at all. Look at that piece from a compositional standpoint, and you'll see there's not much there. All gimmick and no substance.
this was a new kind of sound... not what I expected, but certainly not bad ;-) although I got to admit that I think 4Huu is right somehow, imo the soft strings don't match patillo's hard flute, when you've already got used to project trio, but that's just my opinion. I'm sure after some more listening you can find access to the very essence of this kind of music.
I liked it. Even though it's not that deep, good music is good music.

I feel pity for the string players. LOL! Interesting concept. Creative!

I would be honored to have him play with my school's orchestra no matter what the notes are.

Yeah, this piece was awful but the concept was great

This tried to combine modern pop beatbox techniques with a classical orchestral model.
It's a combusted explosion of two good ideas that turns out bad.
Like fruit-cake.

speechless...you're amazing

Lol the beatboxing guy is like rocking out and the conductor is like standing there conducting like its a normal classical piece.

I'd love to hear orchestral versions of the tunes from the first two albums..

This piece will probably never be played by anyone else because no one else can match Greg's natural awesomeness.

Wow, there's something really off about the arrangement.:0 Sometimes it don't work. Greg is an awsome flutist otherwise!

Greg pattillo is amazing but I feel horrible for the strings. >__< some of that was painful to listen to, probably more painful to play.

Idea is awesome, but the piece really sucks. Like, really. I would be pissed if I was a string player on this piece.

I don't really think the two parts are good together. Its like there is no melody, just parts.

Greg! :0 I was in awe! I think that at times the strings were a bit too loud but contributed to balance the hardcore flute! :)
