Make no mistake, this product isn't for "after" breastfeeding, it is a breastfeeding substitute. This advert is in clear violation of the World Health Organisation Code on the Marketing of Breastmilk Substitutes in several ways. World Health Organisation guidelines call for exclusive breastfeeding for six months & continued breastfeeding to a *minimum* of 24 months. It isn't what's "best" for babies and doesn't "improve" their health, it's what's *normal* & anything else detracts from health.
If U decide 2 gradually change from breastfeeding 2 milk formula feeding.
Aptamil Follow On is suitable from 6 months onwards, where most mothers start 2 include other nutrient sources in her baby's food besides her breast milk, like Cerelac.
We can classify baby's food in most cases into 3 stages
1-soley depending on mother's milk
2-depending on both mother's milk and external nutrients
3-independent on his mother's milk
So, the expression "move on" is most suitable to describe stage 2
@TifuBlackmoth - Perhaps the "If" applies to those who choose to give formula versus those who breastfeed until the baby is able to drink regular cow's milk from a cup and never use formula. I did this. My daughter breastfed until she was three. She is a bright beautiful 11 yr old. She never had formula, ever.
Might have been what they meant, but they say "if you decide to move on from breast milk" - and in your case, you still did move on from breast milk. So the wording is still weird as it implies there are people who don't make that choice, and breast feed forever and ever and ever.
This ad has now been changed in the UK to remove the 'like breastmilk' bit and the 'magic forcefield' around the kid when he is sneezed on. GOOD!
What a load of rubbish, and an awful way to undermine breastfeeding. NG.

The music sounds like the skipper the eye child episode of Garth Marenghi (14 mins in)

I was more worried about the word "IF" used in the advert - it's not really an IF choice, its a WHEN choice.

:D, some mothers fail to make such a decision
