I've read the books and Damon is not a bad guy. He's a guy who's made a couple of stupid mistakes. But in the end he makes the right decisions and saves them all... so don't go bashing Damon...

Well, usually I like bad boys too. I love Chuck from GG and Eric from TB, etc. The difference with Damon is I have yet to see a soft side with him. I know there is probably one that exists within him, but the fact that we haven't really seen it deters me from respecting and liking him. At this point in time, I just find him irritating. But that may change at any point because, like I said, I usually DO love bad boys. I just can't seem to warm up to Damon. Hehehe. ;P

I dunno, I'm still VERY skeptical. Now, this is ONLY by the show because I have not read the books, but it could all just be an obsession because she looks like Katherine. When you think about it, he doesn't even really know Elena. While Stefen made an effort to know her and now he likes her for her, Damon hasn't. All I've seen him do is bite her friend, try to force her to kiss him, and lie to her. I don't see how he could even have feelings for her when all he knows is she looks like Kathrine.

Yeah, that's all I've been trying to say. I mean no disrespect for people who are fans of Damon and Damon/Elena, but I really just can't stand him or the couple. I agree, I think he's just too evil for my taste. Chuck's one of my ALL TIME fave characters, and I love Eric very much, but they have redeeming qualities. I have yet to see anything truly redeeming in Damon. And Elena is simply too good of a person for him, imo. But who knows, they could reveal some vulnerability within him.

And it may even have to do with the fact that I don't even slightly think Damon is hot, and I think him and Elena have no chemestry, even if I'm the only one with this theory.
