Whenever I fend off cheeses I just take the oppertunity to keep playing normally to practice my macro while gloating in the fact that he's miles behind. Sure, I've lost to people in macro games that started as cheeses, because they actually know what they're doing, but I learn so much more from it.
@skaruts Things tend to explode, there is a blur, and your units tend to path around them, which is quite obvious. I really think that those DTs should have committed to that attack there, when the army pulled back, since the would become useless shortly regardless.

ive been cannon rushed before, so i went into void rays and chased down all his probes so he had no income, i had 1 void ray and 3 stalkers, thats it, everything else was destroyed, he said theres no way i could win and went afk assuming id just leave, and i thought to myself, screw this guy, he must win so much doing this so im gonna kick his ass, so i spent 50 minutes, with 3 stalkers, and a void ray slowly working on the cannons pulling back with low shields and won, so worth it never give up
rewatching this reminds me when i lost to a protoss proxy cannon...for the 3rd time in a row. 3rd time dude was constantly putting pylons and cannons and i didnt realize this untill his 2nd cannon was half way done and all i had was 2 marines. i was havn i bad day as it was but 3times in a row, yeah i rage quit. looking back now, i probably shouldve stopped building marines and got a factory out quickly for a tank or get maruaders. hey he was spending money at my base
just a hint, might be useful.. if hes spending his whole money at your base just lift off and rebuild somewhere else, you'll be more than just fine =) he probably wont even make more cannons so your depots and stuff will be alive, you got all harvesters and prolly some barracks, so he wont be able to catch up to you
TB, I would just like to bring to your attention, that if this were a Masters game, and the "Cheese" of the Protoss failed, it would be the Protoss, NOT you, the Terran who would GG. Because cheese, regardless of the damage it does, if it doesn't win you the game, has a tendancy to make you loose it. So if the tactic worked the same way, I would have expected the 'Toss to gg. (think of a failed 6-pool) Thanks!

I did something like with as Terran, except i lost my base completely due to an effective speedling rush i couldn't fight back against, but i eventually built another base, mined myself up, he thought he was going to win since he even told me in chat that he'll just build up a massive army to kill me. I had only a Command center, and built my way towards nukes, he didnt notice that i was, i nuked his army.. and won.. cause.. his army got nuked.. twice.. i was very happy at the end of that game.
the fact that you lost a single worker to that being terran is terrible, lift off your barracks, place them around your bunker to lessen exposed area and so they are in range of your marines if they attack your barracks, life off your command centre, use STVs to focus on pylon forcing him to pull back his zealots, put back your command centre, split up your STVs and continue mining and taking out his gateways while picking at his pylon to prevent his few zealots from stoping your mining...
Yeah lover level players should really never use all in builds, they don't improve at all and it will artificially inflate their rank. So if they get to a moderately high league the play will not work no matter how hard they try.
@Ardentzero Actually no. All in one base builds helps newbies extremely. Reason being is that it is much less for them to look at. This allows them to work on essential mechanics and get the 1 base build mastered. All the macro mechanics and timings become mastered at a much quicker pace. And you say it wont work at moderately high leagues well you're wrong as your one base play is going to be as good or potentially better as your opponents because you've mastered it. From there you can 2/3 base
@Fdragon It won't help them because they get used to making a few units and winning a game, rather than learning things like expanding while attacking or macro'ing on a larger scale. And it won't work at moderately-high levels because those players have seen the same build but performed better and faster, so it is easily held off. Players should learn normal builds that can lead into the late game (such as 3 gate expand or 1-1-1 build) so they will have better mechanics when they move up
@Fdragon however with blizzard's crappy idea that you should win 50% of games, winning more moves you up and winning less moves you down, newbies are going to get screwed over in that 50% of higher level players.

I did something like with as Terran, except i lost my base completely due to an effective speedling rush i couldn't fight back against, but i eventually built another base, mined myself up, he thought he was going to win since he even told me in chat that he'll just build up a massive army to kill me. I had only a Command center, and built my way towards nukes, he didnt notice that i was, i nuked his army.. and won.. cause.. his army got nuked.. twice.. i was very happy at the end of that game.

the fact that you lost a single worker to that being terran is terrible, lift off your barracks, place them around your bunker to lessen exposed area and so they are in range of your marines if they attack your barracks, life off your command centre, use STVs to focus on pylon forcing him to pull back his zealots, put back your command centre, split up your STVs and continue mining and taking out his gateways while picking at his pylon to prevent his few zealots from stoping your mining...

Yeah lover level players should really never use all in builds, they don't improve at all and it will artificially inflate their rank. So if they get to a moderately high league the play will not work no matter how hard they try.

@Ardentzero Actually no. All in one base builds helps newbies extremely. Reason being is that it is much less for them to look at. This allows them to work on essential mechanics and get the 1 base build mastered. All the macro mechanics and timings become mastered at a much quicker pace. And you say it wont work at moderately high leagues well you're wrong as your one base play is going to be as good or potentially better as your opponents because you've mastered it. From there you can 2/3 base

@Fdragon It won't help them because they get used to making a few units and winning a game, rather than learning things like expanding while attacking or macro'ing on a larger scale. And it won't work at moderately-high levels because those players have seen the same build but performed better and faster, so it is easily held off. Players should learn normal builds that can lead into the late game (such as 3 gate expand or 1-1-1 build) so they will have better mechanics when they move up

@Fdragon however with blizzard's crappy idea that you should win 50% of games, winning more moves you up and winning less moves you down, newbies are going to get screwed over in that 50% of higher level players.
