此の曲発表当時は日本経済頂点を極める前の頃だったと思います。

日本製品の優秀さが世界に知れ渡った時にこの曲がヒットしてまし­た、歌詞の中に　部品は日本製　とあり、そんなに日本におべっか使ってどうすんだよ、とかそんな­見方もありました。

確かに当時でも最初の歌詞が日本語で妙にダサかったのを覚えてい­ます。

現在の日本経済の状態をみるとあの頃が夢だったような気がする程­の落差を感じます。

同じ頃にピンクフロイドの　not now john と言う曲があり、それはうなぎ上りの日本製品への皮肉とも言える­曲でした。

いずれにせよあの頃の事を思いださせる曲で有る事は間違いないで­すね。

そして２０１２年「ロボジー」でエンドロールにこのカバーが流れ­て平成世代の人達がこの曲を知る事になるのは面白いと感じるおじ­さんです。

監督の矢口氏は選曲のセンスが日本一だと思いますが、ロボジーは­この曲からインスパイアされたのかと思う程映画の内容が　どうもありがとうミスターロボット　なんですよね。

This song has an Asian vibe to it especially in the beginning. The beginning reminds me of a brilliant sunrise along the Li River in China. Or above Mt Fuji in Japan. It made me think of sunrises in Asia years before I got to see them and then when I did for some reason this song came to mind.

For those who don't know, the whole album was a Rock Operas/concept album, about a future where rock stars are suppressed by the government. Kilroy is a rock star who has been imprisoned by the government, but escaped by disguising himself as a Roboto (robot servant).

The 80s were a great time for the boys of Styx. DeYoung was just crazy about going in the direction of "rock theater." He probably felt that "Kilory" was the bands very best work. I bet "Paradise" ranked a close second. However, I heard that Jimmy and Tommy did not wish to follow his plan.

I really like some of the lines in this song. For example, "I've come to help you with your problems so we can be free." And, "I'm just a man who's circumstances went beyond his control, I need control, we all need control." I think all of us could do well from having someone like Mr. Roboto in all our lives at times.
