im doing a raffle, im giving my deck of 70 + cards for mtg, i have a vid on my channel that tells you how to enter the raffle. so if you want to, check it out and enter, i will do the raffle on video and first prize is my cards and second prize is something smaller. go check it out :)
im still torn up about this, and i want some of your opinions youtube! what is the best number of land cards to draw at the beginning of the game, and what grounds should i mulligan on? i never really know.
@iansquared3 Depends on my deck, and my focus. I have decks I will play with just one land in my hand, others I want at least two. Some I won't unless I have three.
Man havent played in years wanna start up again. Its hard to know whats going on though in a magic game thats casted cant see the cards, and being based only on commentary, unless you know the cards names by heart and what they do. :(
@MrsRandomMadeMeDoIt . Most pro players have always played without sleeves up until around 2003/2004 time frame, so you will see a lot of old matches where players don't use sleeves. I don't think sleeves were even allowed in sanctioned tournaments until around 99ish time frame. Don't quote me on that though.
un soir j'ai vue un esprie . il ma dit " tu vas mourir " est il a disparue . maintenant que vous avez lu sa vous aller mourir dans 3 jours exactement sauf si vous mettez sa sur 50 video il y a 2 mois
Ok don't get me wrong Im a fan of magic and I do like these videos, but seriously the fucking announcer should be punched in the face he is soooooo anoying
This was before the world was outraged by this unsleeved stunt. The unsleeved hoax was in part by the company to force the players to buy a clean set of cards from the same sets before they could play. Wizards would lie about it when it was proven that not all Pros have the money for clean sets of cards for a single event. The practice would stop after 2005 to constructed events. As cards are more expensive that sleeves.
Back when there were not many sets, it was possible for players to acquire the clean copies they needed for the constructed events they wanted. With the introduction of sleeves, came regulations for the protectors. As time moved forward, it became more and more difficult to acquire the clean copies needed for any constructed event. So the players would move toward using the sleeves more often, then search for clean copies...
Before 2005, most of the R&D were still stuck in the past. So they would force the players to play without sleeves, or be DQed from playing in the Top 8. So the players would either had to rely on their player groups, ask the judges for cards, or say this is an outrage. The practice would be on and off from 2002 until the 2004 World Championships, where they would then do it again. Then in 2005, they Randy confessed to why Wizards did it, which blew the whole thing through the roof.
I do agree with you. The only reason i can see for having your hand on the table during the game is to rest your hand....or cheat a card onto the battlefield, which is totally absurd. Nothing wrong with resting your hand.
yeah I know. I play against my uncle and he gets fricken man o wars all the damn time. I start to do damage and he blocks it with protection. I then get pissed and then out of no where he has a bajillion creatures and I have nothing.

I saw a recoil in his hand, would the correct play have been to recoil his land before he can absorb, let him take the burn for floating the mana...?
Correct me if I'm wrong.

tap land
Ardileslash 2 years ago
It's a tap land. Mana abilities don't use the stack anyway, so he couldn't respond to it.
check4v 2 years ago
Too bad no mana burn soon. They are taking it out.
Skateboykyle 2 years ago
He can only play one spell per turn, so if he tried to recoil, he wouldn't have been able to answer the voice of all.
