@yeomanrycavalry We have Napa Valley, Mammoth Lakes, Alcatraz, Monterey, Golden Gate Bridge and other Northern destinations. This summer, we are hitting Yosemite and Tahoe.

But it's also good to know that California has something for George Freeth since it seems, so far, that Hawaii has nothing, not even a little thing saying who he was and how he helped. Only the Duke has a statue. D:

Hi and thanks for commenting! The statue was stolen from Redondo last year and not sure if it was recovered again. Sad to hear Hawaii has nothing for Freeth.

And although it's not all locals here, I'd say most only remember Duke Kahanamoku as being the father of surfing. Although it is both Duke and Freeth.

Nah, Hawaii's waves in the winter are amazing. But in the summer there flat and not worth shit. And california consistently has waves... Hawaii's sick tho
