in my humble opinion, I'd say Myanmar is one of the truly, rarely exotic regions, but in a authenticity sense, but Laos isn't far off from Myanmar, geographically and uniqueness.

too sad for the lao governments that let our people poor like this, hope the younger generation will change and bring the prosperity to it's citizens.
If I ever have the opportunity to visit Laos I think I will love it as much as I love Thailand. To my untrained eye they seem so similar. That's my favorite part of the world. Do you ever have one of those days when you feel like you woke up on the wrong side of the planet?

Every day! Thank goodness I'm heading that way again on december tenth. On;y for 6 weeks, but still! I'm going to Laos this time. Can't wait :)
