to add to the history of taboos: during slavery and a long time there after black women could have been raped by white men and it was unlikely that the white made would ever be prosecuted.

I don't think anyone woman is submissive unless the man is handling his business in all phases of the relationship. If a man is treating her right, taking care of home, making sure that everything is everything - there isn't a woman alive who won't come up under that. Women lead out of necessity - not necessarily choice.

Most men and women I have known are pretty stupid. Many women still choose jerks and are in harmful relationships on some level and many people are still selfish. I dont know of many smart women. ok reading some of the comment... some people are jerks. i can tell you that i have at least one black friend. he's the best too. i would have more, but i live in a town where there used to be a ton of KKK people so not many blacks here but i still love them. to me, it's not about skin color, it's about what's inside. my only black friend, greg, is one guy i can go to and talk about anything no matter how weird it sounds and no matter how awkard i feel about it. he's always there for me. :)

Funny the way you get all expressive with your hands when you're under time pressure! I think this race thing is a hypothetical contruct that humankind has used to separate "us" from "them". And I think it's changing, particularly in cultures that have had a strong history of racial mixing! I'm sure they would be confused with the typical box on forms that asks if you're Caucasian, Black, Hispanic, Asian, Native American...they would be tempted to put "All"

well im mexican and well what is common is puerto ricans is there what is called "sangre pesada" meaning heavy blood in other words there full of themselves alot of the time, they see mexicans as inferior or they consider themselves to be like the coolest form of hispanic, really i don't think so i have 3 friends that are puerto rican and i have no problem with them and the ideas that different hispanics have of eachother based on nationality are just as common in there own..

i don't think that puerto ricans are any more full of themselves than any other nationality or race. i think saying that is actually sterotyping puerto ricans. all of these stereotypes stem from ignorance and thinking that all or most people of a certain race or nationality think the same. i have come across alot of mexicans that think they're "better" than say salvadorians, or cubans that think they're superior to puerto ricans. it's just ignorant individuals...

it bothers me when people point out other people that are interratially dating and say that they have problems with it, because then that goes back to the whole "problem" of them having "mixed" children, but chances are that they are saying this and they are not "pure breed" themselves because all these different races have obviously spread out, so those people are really no one to be talking when it comes to having children with more than one race.
