  • Jeeze, would it hurt to feed the thing? I've owned dogs all my life and I understand the desirable condition is that the ribs should be palpable but not visible. This dog looks far too thin for my comfort.

  • the lead singer of pantera produced this movie?

  • He would also carry spare magazines for me in a bandolier.

  • If that was my police dog, he'd wear a bandana like Rambo. Not around his neck, but around his forehead. It'd look badass.

  • nice dog i atmit but its so skinny poor dog :(

  • Fuck the police.

  • @lXlPringleslXl fuck you bastard

  • Very poor article search!!!!!

  • The policeman just whisper "Speak"than the dog bark!Well-trained dog!I love him❤

  • I love these kind of dogs so much!!

  • Man, they gave that officer a sport dog, not a patrol dog. In my professional opinion a police dog should never go into a build after a subject with the intent to revert to a bark and hold. WHAT THE HECK IS THAT? A police dog needs to go in and apprehend. Only if the subject is hidden and the dog cannot apprehend; then should the dog go into an active alert (bark and hold).

  • @k9166 Do you want a dog to latch on to your arm when you are surrendering like that guy was in that scenario? I think not...

  • Listen, I am sorry for the the cop on that clip. Whoever sold that dog to that agency sold them a SPORT DOG. That dog is a Pucblic Relation Dog not a patrol dog........

  • @k9166 what in heck is that??

  • @k9166 it's a patrol dog not a public relation dog

  • I'm gonna become a detective when I grow up how many years do you have to be a police officer again? Because I'm gonna train a dog better than this one!

  • @nrtoking4729 its different for every department some only require a high school diploma, but to be competitive with others a college degree is worth its weight in gold helps with promotions also. Federal Level jobs require a bachelors degree but that is minimum requirement and your chance of getting hired are slim. You will not start off as a detective you have to start on the beat and work your way up. Just stay in school and keep your record clean, best of luck

  • Nice dog, I would only teach him to bite in a case of building search. Good job guys K9 Dogs Europe

  • I've got this dog :]

  • I love it when them shepherds get those beast of burden thugs!! haha

  • For all of you who say this dog isnt skinny and its "athleticly built" or that dog is supposed to be that way is full of crap. I go hiking and camping all of the time and most of the time I hike 6-9 miles into camp with my lab/collie mix. Me and him eat 3 times a day and he is athleticly built and healthy. The dog in the vid looks skinny.

  • @1NecroSpawn Well said. I have a Staffy/ Ridge-back mix and I take her for bike rides and she runs for hours on end. She is athletically built with a light yet tough body. This dog IS skinny. This dog is either malnutritioned or just needs more exercise.

A fit good quality working-line German Shepherd should be stockily built and tough. These days there are a lot of pathetic GSD's around.

  • @1NecroSpawn I agree with you. If you can see more than three ribs, the dog is too skinny. That is a Czech working line GSD- it needs some more meat on his bones!

  • @PanicScene1

Well I don't know this dogs background or how he is raised. But I would figure he is given the most lean and nutrition filled food to help build muscle and keep him from being fat. Not to mention that he works 8 hours a day and 5 days a week too. This dog isn't going to have an ounce of fat. Imagine him as a marathon runner, not a body builder. He has to be strong, but has to be able to last the long hall. That might explain why he's so thin.

  • mon dieu il est pas musclé le chien il est MAIGRE! pauv bête :/

  • I'll never understand why departments mandate their K-9 teams to employ a bark and hold. It's so unsafe for the dog and the handler. Uninformed administrators believe it will will reduce the amount of bites, thus reducing liability. On the contrary, it has been proven that bark and hold K-9's have more accidental bites than bite and hold K-9's.

  • @BTownMick How do you have an accidental park on a Bark and Hold deployment? You announce, you train to hold and bark.. If the suspect/ bad guy moves he is bit.. its not as easy as find and bite.. BUT.... You open your use of the k9 team 3 fold to search for critical missing and suicidal subjects..

  • @cspdky913 I'm assuming "park" is a misprint and you meant bite. Nonetheless, with a bark and hold method, you're still allowing the K-9 to decide whether or not he bites. I know our dogs are smart but, let's face it they are still dogs. All the training in the world isn't going to guarantee your partner will make the right decision every time. I encourage you to look at the Florida Study. It can be found at PoliceK9.com If you PM me, I'll be happy to forward the link.

  • @cspdky913 Why can't you search for suicidal, endangered or missing people with a bite and hold dog?

  • OMFG feed your Alsation!!!

  • @dreadly101 You obviously don't know anything about working dogs. Better to have a lean dog than an overweight dog, especially in this instance. Excess weight and flesh only puts the dog at greater risk of harm.

  • you guys pick up articles? what about the forensics? wont it mess up finger prints or dna?

  • I have the same type of dog. I agree he does look a little malnourished. These types of german sheperds are amazing tho (check my vid)

  • the dog is soo cute i want himmm or herrrr beautifulll

  • my favorite breed

  • fat dog is not a good dog !

  • So remember kids.... when running from a K-9 unit bring a bouncing ball!

  • aww, why he is so skinny?

  • @starlaylla it's not skinny, more "athletic build".

  • @productionsOFkez no there is a difference, thats skinny

  • you can see the dogs ribbs they might want to give him more dinner

  • That is brian thompson, he is one of the only good cops ,who is respectful i know of.Unlike others here whos badge, makes them a big man.

  • I have a huge amount of respect for cops that respect their authority rather than abuse it. Good man, good dog, great team.

  • Nice Shepherd and demonstration. I guess I'm bias to Czech lines since I have one.

  • that was awesome!!! I just adopted a German shephard and would love to be able to train her like that. Right now she is just too stuborn!
