  • how can someone be mad at him for trying to be helpful,,,,,smh

  • Morton's Fork: A choice between equally unpleasant options.

Example: Do you get vitamin D and no results against depression? Or do you go to a doctor, get antidepressants and get no results against depression? Either way its no results. the same.

Watch 50 depression videos on Youtube, and youll see 50 different options that DONT WORK, and them all debate each other. Wrong VS Wrong VS Wrong VS Wrong VS Wrong Chaos ; with no one ever mentioning whats really going on, a Morton's fork Epidemic.

  • I have extreme feelings of sadness come over me, also I have fear of amputation that comes over me, crazy isn't it? I am scared I'll lose my leg or arm and it's because I have currupt thoughts. It's quite strange that it happens and I don't know why I think of things like this. I just feel so sad aswell and I feel Suicidal. I don't want to die but I am extremely sad and stuff, I just try and think about Love so that I can try and think positively. I also eat unhealthily.

  • And the way i see it is, if you're going to take medications to help your depression, it's not much of a different concept than smoking weed or cigarettes to "take the edge off". Whether someone uses legal OR illegal drugs, they are only used as a crutch to improve your current state of being.

i know people who have used meds (i being one of them), and they wonder why they can't fix their depression. it's because it's up to YOU to fix it.

  • @DoodleBlarg91 U have just shown u have NO IDEA of what UR talking about. U say " they r only used as a crutch to improve ur state of being " -So people have no need for heart tablets or diabetes tablets or ashma medications etc? Why is it any different for depression? U only have to google a few pages to educate urself about mental illness. It is BIBLICAL IGNORANCE to suggest u can just " snap out of it" Antidepressants r a life saver for MANY PEOPLE.I can testify to this personally

  • Although i do agree that taking care of yourself (in general) is an effective way to combat depresstion, i have to say it isn't the MOST effective way. you have to find the motivation to do so, and that is something can comes from within. and yes, i'm aware that it's easier said than done.

How willing are you to fight your depression? What are you willing to go through to better yourself? that's what it boils down to. no pill or supplement is going to permanently solve your problem.

  • Am impressed that you had the mental and emotional strength and perseverance to pursue your goal. Sure there are obviously going to be medical and biological associations with depression - this is normal if your body is out of balance. There are many different approaches apart from medications, which are often best for at least short term first aid. BUT, you can also find different natural ways to get your body back into balance, which can be a powerful stimulant to dissipating depression.

  • Thank you for sharing. This was really interesting, especially the part about sickness behavior in humans/mammals and I think I will look into reading more about this. I'm sure this theory could help with SAD or depression that has a predominant biological cause or component. Mine definitely has a biological component to it due to hormonal imbalances, however I've found I have to address psychological/cognitive components to my depressive behavior and symptoms too.

  • Great treatment for Seasonal affective disorder .

  • Your video is good....I've had depression on and off....You should continue to develop your theory.......consider the eastern philoshopies...i think it was the buddhists and Shoalin monk types that recognised the six E-Motions...Fear ,Anger, Love, Hate , SORROW, and Joy..........stating that we should not 'Dwell too-much' in any of these E-Motions (energy in motion)...but recognise and master them?

    Im no master, still Learning

  • @changuirus5000 lol aaaaaaaahahhaahah IM NOT ALONE IN THIS WORLD,WORD TO WORD SAME AS MY LIFE.....THANX FOR COMMENT

  • @changuirus5000 ever known anyone who smoked that was truly happy? Your cigarettes are a big part of not feeling good. Especially if you drink. You will over smoke and go into withdrawals a day later. Got sidetracked, you cant eat once a day and feel good. The chemicals you need in your brain are delivered via food. You are getting a 1/3rd the chemicals you need.

  • @changuirus5000 When I feel hopeless or having suicidal thoughts, cigarettes stop them within like 30 seconds.

  • it looks like i have Dysthymic Disorder, but my brother has been in an extremely severe case of major depression, and it hasn't helped..its very hard these days, and..just i want things to get better this is horrible

  • Very interesting video. I too am a depression sufferer. I wonder how full spectrum lighting within the home would help in producing vitamin D. I use it for photography and I know that Full spectrum bulbs are use to treat seasonal affective disorder. Any ideas anyone???

  • Me, as someone who has had major depression (and possibly even bipolar disorder) I can only suggest that you go see a therapist. It is an amazing cure. I was weary about going at first but for me my depression went away after about 2 months of constant therapy. And if therapy isn't for you, you should still see a psychiatrist so that you can be placed on the correct medication if necessary.

  • @whassup9097 i want to go see a pshychiatrist, but i am too afraid , i dont want to look like a freak or feel like im mentaly retarded ;( for sooo many years ive been feeling this shitty way maybe its just my personality . i cry alot, my body feels heavy, my neck and shoulders are killing me.and when i have to be outside my house, when i walk by people, i can feel their looks. they way they look at me , makes my breathing so heavy .and i usally end up almost passing out. is this normal?

  • the sad part for me is ive lost motivation to go on

  • Wow I'm from Newcastle UK, feeling rather proud.

  • Depression is a chemical disorder that occurs in the brain. Not a fucking choice. Educate yourself before you decide to write random facts.

  • @whassup9097 Exactly

  • @whassup9097 "Educate yourself before you decide to write random FACTS."

    lol you said facts

  • just sleep with a bunch of girls, then get a girlfriend...feel sorry for other people, not yourself..scratch your body out, tell it to go to hell, your brain is all you need...

  • but I can't get the girls that's the problem

  • devote your life to talking to girls..

    grocery stores, parks, schools, anywhere...

  • do you know how hard depression even is?im suffering it now and i just dont care anymore about life

  • Check out tctalkslife com , it has a fast, free seven day program to lessen or ELIMINATE depression.

  • I SMOKE WEED

  • i smoke weed but somtimes that makes it worse

  • u need uppers!!

  • hell no! the worse long terms u can get!

  • ive tryd uppers downers everything pregablin arent bad

  • try recreational drugs

  • so do i but most the time it makes it worse

  • I do not know you can or are willing , but talking to people helped me. not doctors, just people out in public...start with just saying hi to everyone you can and work your way up to having conversations. postive reactions from people toward you boosts confidence and security. it helped for me at least

  • iam willing to try anything to help myself ive been in a stable mood for weeks now still nervous at times tho its hard when im in a low mood to pick myself up out of it but ill never give up trying peace

  • Good video bro, I totally agree with the whole vitamin-d theory. I study computer graphic design and being inside the majority of the year I think has a huge contrast with when I'm working outside during the summer break. I also think that along with physical activity and socializing, depression can be helped. but most of all the initial cause of depression is usually a mindset.

Goodluck with the rest of your research, I think you're onto some good stuff!

  • Humm I like the theory, wish i had come up with it. You should try and look into this more perhaps go to uni and get degree and work on your hypothesis.

  • Depreshion IS a huge part with out goverment With all the jack up in price's and all that its sky rocketing depreshion to high number's Cause its harder to make A liveing and be able to afford life these days.. me with Haveing IBS i ahve problems working 8 hour shifts so i know my self i fallinto depreshion when i think of all these things... the ritch people dont get this cause like i just said RITCH they dont have the money problems that the Average Joe has..

  • If our parents have it then they might have, accidentally, encouraged us towards introversion and hypersensitivity. We might inherit a view of life that is extremely painful. It's not a sickness. Yes, sunshine helps everything but, perhaps, this is just the way some people are. We like the light but we shy away from it.

  • I believe it's a combination of hereditry and conditioning. I believe there's a disposition towards sensitivity in all it's forms.

  • Gosh. There's a lot more material evidence for people being suicidal in Northern Europe than there is for people in Africa.

It's to do with sunlight? Rather than life expenctancy? Is it not the case that people, who live in hot countries, have shorter lives and more important considerations?

  • Extraordinary & "genius" indeed! Although I do not suffer frm the kinds of depression this study intends to treat, I've spoken to him for awhile & when I went through the most difficult times in my life;when I was at the brink of suicide- he gave me a lot of valuable support, & did all that he could to help me see why I should continue my life, living. If it wasn't for his determination& persistency(which is also the driving, motivating force for his studies&research) I would NOT be alive today.

  • this guy LITERALLY saved my life: he has given me a whole new insight in what is going on in my body, in the past year I have had no serious bouts of depression: no sleeping for 20 hours a day, no crying whenever I hear a commercial on the radio. The guy's a genius. I owe him my life.

  • wow for someone who didnt get all those medical degrees you sure know ur stuff ur so dedicated and i hope one day u can carry out ur test dont give up
