@jstewart9356 Congratulations!! I'll be applying for admission next year. I plan to major in Astrology and Harmonic Convergence, and minor in Yoga. The Navel Academy should be an excellent power vortex for finding my Oneness with the Universe, gaining True Cosmic Awareness and living in True Communion with Mother Earth.
I hope to play the jews harp inn the Navel Academy Band. Please throw your energy out to Brother Moon and Sister Sky so that I will be admitted.
@TheLogan1156 not 100% if you were to get kicked out of a service academy, you don't get any military benefits, time in a service academy does not count as active duty time when you graduate. You're at the same standard and rank as being an ROTC cadet
@poolie626 Yeah, but Army Cadets, Navy Midshipmen, etc. are all considered members of the armed forces. Obviously, they aren't going to have the full responsibilities and benefits of, say, an active duty Marine, but they are still part of the military.
@XiledSoviet I would say that both are equally difficult. The Naval Academy on one hand has over 100 years of tradition behind them, and the Air Force Academy is unique in that it's the least known of the big 3.
@douglaspotterpress This is the morning of the first day at the Naval Academy. It gets pregressively harder. This is to start adjusting their mindset from an 18 year old civilian who was a high schooler for weeks ago to life in the military.
@tlages oh god.. Im so sorry!!! My brother always goes on my account to comment. No Harsh feelings. Sorry for the disrespect and i'll tell him to say sorry. ahh please don't be mad..
Hey, remember this is the morning of the very first day. Plebe summer gets a LOT harder after this. This is just the rude awaking that they're not civilians any more. A lot of what they have to do is stuff that doesn't make sense but it does have a purpose...follow orders immediately and exactly whether you understand them or not because that can be critical in dangerous situations. This is about attention to detail, teamwork, functioning well under stress, etc.
@frootbooter29 True, it is a component of the Navy; however, it's still a seperate branch of the military. The two operate autonomously, with their own chains of command, uniforms, history, objectives, and missions.
To everyone who is comparing this to the Marine Corps. This is a service academy. People go here to get their college requirement for officership in the Navy and Marine Corps fulfilled while being in a military school environment. There are a lot of stresses to four years at this school that civilian counterparts will not have to deal with. This in itself is a sacrifice. Research a little before posting and if you aren't in the military, shut up.
@DEATHBOMBHITMAN47 Did I this was harder than TBS? NO, I didn't thanks for putting words in my mouth. Also, the people who service select Marine Corps will be going to The Basic School shortly after graduation from the Academy. Jerk.
@esoberanis1 its not about "can I do it without facing pain" its about following directions. You dont take short cuts especially at usna. It is for discipline. If you cant follow these simple directions to keep your elbow at 90, how do you expect to lead anyone after graduation?
@esoberanis1 I wouldn't be bagging on the most influential military power in the world. you should be grateful instead of commenting on videos such as this.

@crumbutt If you're enrolled in the Naval Academy, you're a member of the military. You have a rank, and everything.
