  • Why are you so out of breath- are you masturbating to galaxies??

  • Comment removed

  • You kinda sound like Buffulo Bill :/

  • I thought of this too, without every hearing about it from anyone. The real dilemma is that if each subatomic particle is actually a universe composed of galaxies, nebulas black holes etc. etc like in our universe then how do the chemical elements have uniform chemical properties. If each atom is supposedly unique and infinitely reducible why do they have similar properties, what makes them all have such similarities at a certain dimension of analysis?

  • Its a little creepy when you think about how this threory is spreading. Its the same as the Hundred Monkey experiment that proved that a species is connected to its self.

  • I came up with the very same theory not a while ago haha :)

  • I saw Men in black also

  • just wondering why are you walking as you narrate this...good info, a bit annoying.

  • Infinity works in both directions.

  • Cool vid. We always talk about how big the universe is. Our universe is probably a subatomic particle to something even bigger.

  • are you jacking off?

  • Courage to spark new thought by free thought& Words, I can admire this intention.

  • I had this idea too! I smoked alot of weed and started realizing all kinds of sh*t. It was really hard to accept, but it was true.

  • The reporter sounds like a sex pest, or possibly he's "pesterin" himself

  • are you reporting from inside your fridge?

  • the problem being the answer to the question of that if your theory is right

  • i like it. ive thought of something similar actually. that subatomic particles can be their own "universes".. i agree with you actually, but the thing is we probably. in our lifetime, will not get to experience the solution to this problem.

  • dude if you jog while explaining quantum theory you are a beast. got your mind right bro. i need to get on your level.

  • Is this a bloody Star Trek Mocumentary? This guy talks like Kirk on his worst day. Impossible to listen to.

  • Me too, I wish I had written some of my ideas down.

  • I had similar thoughts. The more you zoom in you notice the unstable particles are in their own universe, you zoom out to us in our own universe, go out further and see our universe surrounded by infinite other universes. Like our universe is a pore on the face of the "branes". Where all the nasty zit grows is "us". Other universes would be in their own pores. What if our suns and planets are being viewed by another microscope - fuck a telescope. We are the undiscovered bacteria!! I <3 this weed

  • was he having sex while narrating ? hahah LEWL

  • I would like the narrators name.

I need to cite you for your quotation

"the philosophically pleasing ideas, are the ones, that tend to be true"

  • @benjiman1122 narrator is me and I'm Dave Ridley. thanks!

  • @benjiman1122 i would have been suprised by this video if i didnt already have the same theory

  • I find that an much more realistic look at ALLTHA things around us...

    ....btw....

Dont u think that ALLTHA sounds like some person from an religion???

    (((allah)))

    xD

  • I kinda imagine the powers of 10 and -10. With this the universe It's just oh so expanding and never ending. Into the outer spaces and sub-atomic voids is the universe.

And I wonder if it just keeps going and going or maybe it just so happens, that nothing is actual there until we find it. LOL

I also could see them drifting so far apart and that they start to represent each other and then they are one.

Think the infinity symbol, but I think more circle! Never really ending nor beginning. ∞.....

  • Fact:Fractals exist. And can be applied to plants, minerals, and other aspects of elements in our universe. If you accept fractals as theory, then they should have no limit and should apply to everything in all of the universe, including the universe. It's as simple as E=mc2. But in the year 2011 it's just a bit past our intuition to understand it and believe it. Someday it will be proven, and they'll say we were just too stubborn to believe it. But that leads to a whole new universe of science.

  • I concur. I arrived at the same conclusion about 1 year ago after watching a number of Feynman videos that led to learning about Edward Wittens geniuis and M theory. It just seems that simple, fractals are proof that planets are subatomic particles. But you articulated it far better than I am capable of. I'd like my name in that physics book too. Thanks.

  • I think your theory is plausible, but i believe in recursion. That our galaxies/brains/universes are all one, that if you could shrink down to the size of a subatomic particle that you would see an iteration of our own universe, and every one is reentrant, and possibly parallel as to allow the "alternate universe" or "alternat e timelines" That the secret to time travel, and the secret to FTL travel in our own universe is to learn to traverse the universe at the subatomic level.

  • How will shave your palm, if you go blind?

  • When I have a philosophical session with my buds over a bowl, we usually bump into these ideas, but then we either forget them after a few more bowls or someone else makes a formal statement of it, like here...I think we should look more into the collective unconscious...

  • ya any issues... just fuck off man

  • I like your video but seriously what the fuck are you doing as you record your voice? It sounds like you're masturbating furiously

  • Interesting. A British accent would also help.

  • are you jacking off?

    seriously its annoying

  • i think there are lots of universes.and that each universe is like a tv with different channels, the frequency of the particles.becomes different spaces /universes,dimension,etc

  • I have a similar thought but rather than the universe being a small part of another universe etc I think it is just looped inisde itself, twisted and compressed in places etc.

  • @J28MC True.

  • @J28MC yea, but I'm sure there is technology out there that could... just not discovered yet. :)

  • Its been Thought of before, have u heard of a movie called MIB??

  • Honestly... that's funny. They can figure out the beginning of the universe and string theory but they can't figure out how to cure depression? live eternally? or how to cure cancer or any of this shit!? What the FUCK is "string" theory or any of this, going to benefit mankind? What a waste of time... wow, string theory. Fucking amazing. Try figuring out the cure for hate. Do something science!

  • Good for you for not being lazy and putting your thoughts out there in a form of a video its what everyone should do, create whats never been done. NOVELTY its why terence mckenna is awesome

  • Copernicus was: 1. A priest. 2. An astronomer. 3. An engineer 4. An economist 5. A mathematician. Among other things.

  • Sorry to burst your bubble but Carl Sagan touched on exactly the same theory in the "Cosmos" series. He suggested that our Universe maybe a subatomic partical in an atom and that there maybe entire Universes in the subatomic particles inside the atoms that we can observe and this process may repeats both larger and smaller on an infinite scale. So props for thinking of it. Carl Sagan was a brilliant mind.

  • @petestrat07 Yeah. This is supported by fractal mathematics. Nature appears to repeat the same theme or pattern to the infinite in both directions.

  • I believe at the core of everything is information. There is an infinite amount of information which exists, its density is infinite, its volume is infinite. There are an infinite amount of universes in an infinite amount of sizes. Which means physical size is irrelevant. Our bodies are apparatus to view the infinite as a finite. The blank spaces of 'nothing' don't exist, it is just data we don't have the apparatus to observe.

  • @scomatsho I think I remember reading that Albert Einstein during the later years of his life was attempting to demonstrate that the wave-like structure of matter at the sub-atomic level displayed the basic characteristics of DNA-like sequences. The thing is, it didn't appear to be the case.

That's the whole fundamental problem with quantum mechanics: the reasonable thing just never seems to work out.

  • Comment removed

  • I have ideas similar to this. Its sort of like infinite regression. Just like a fractal, I believe you can zoom in or out of the universe infinitely. I believe that somewhere deeper than the level of sub atomic particles lies an infinite ocean of light, a pure energy, maybe pure consiousness.

  • Another thought on E8 is that if it does turn out to be the underlying framework of how matter/energy and forces interact in the universe, perhaps this may coincide with 8 primary hierarchical interacting systems from galaxies to solar systems to molecules and atoms. Maybe these are like 8 waveform "peaks", and there are also 8 "troughes" that manifest as sub- or secondary systems like galaxy and star clusters, macromolecules, and hadrons.

  • This makes me think of nested eggs or russion dolls, but in pairs or groups. Also makes me imagine the E8 polytope, but with each of it's 248 points also being an E8 polytope.

  • I've often imagined the same things. There is a recent story about concentric rings present in data from the WMAP satellite, and the idea that these may be evidence of some violent explosion in a previous universe (BEFORE the big bang). One could think about this combined with your idea and imagine being in a universe at subatomic scale relative to an outer universe, and the satellite data is picking up on interactions between your universe and another, like quarks and gluons interacting.

  • ahh, i see the ridley report is finally going deeper down the rabbit hole.........first you discover that countries and goverments are scams ....then u discover U.C.C. .....then you go deeper down the rabbit hole and discover that the whole world is an illusion and that we are all ETERNAL .....QUANTUM MECHANICS........and i'm sure the rabbit hole goes even deeper.......glad to see your studies have not stopped with goverment.....good job !

  • just a comment on what you said a bout scientists not knowing how life came be... we have created a living reproducing micro organism in a lab already, its just a matter of time before we can recreate multiple circumstances under which life can be created.

  • Thank you for posting this. It's interesting. In fact, thank you for everything you post. You are a champion. You and Alex Jones are my two favorite youtubers..

    ISBN-10: 1568813279

    ISBN-10: 0465092942

  • How about a list of your favorite documentaries?

  • Your tree example reminds me of Thoreau noticing and discussing what he called lobes.

  • ha ha ha. i called it!!! dave ridley is a FAKE. lol. i give you credit dave, you tried but failed! you and your friends that are free staters are nothing more than lazy freeloaders trying to make a buck on you tube via advertising dollars. please stop wasting our taxpayer dollars tying up our police officers and court rooms with your bogus claims and unrealistic ideas. this video really proves it,not to mention all the other videos wasting our time and money. my advise to you is to find a JOB!

  • @littlebigefan looks like you do a good enough job wasting your own time

  • A) Immanuel Kant but Genghis Khan

    B) Copernicus was a Bishop, but not what you might think.

    C) Nothing from nothing leaves something

  • I have had a thought like this before. Its kind of hard to explain, but i will try.

I was thinking, what if time is only a dimension and could possibly pass differently for other things on smaller or larger scales. While I was thinking about this the wind blew some dust into the air and it gave me a strange thought. What if in that dust a whole new "big bang" had occured with billions of tiny universes forming and lasting for trillions of years. Then I thought what if we were in...

  • I narrate while jogging sometimes lol

  • @RidleyReport hahahaha, figured, your on such short time u gotta do your voice overs while u eat, take a shit, shower, sex, pretty much everything but sleep,

seriously though, i'm amazed by your work ethic and how often u upload videos,

much respect, by the way how do i find out about current protests and activism in nh,

i feel like i have no connections, where do i go for this info? hook me up please so i can help u in the revolution

  • @RidleyReport You narrate while masturbating, stop your lying saying that it is jogging!!!

  • @RidleyReport I was exploring similar interests (fractals and q. mech./string theory) and their perceived, striking intimacy, when pretty much the same idea dawned upon me. I have to ask, was the fractal documentary called: "Fractals: The Colour of Infinity"? But as for life, I believe it makes more sense if it is innate to its respective universe, we're getting so close to figuring it out with our RNA World Hypothesis.

  • @RidleyReport Also, you should check out the relationship between the event horizons of black holes and the edge of our universe, it's kind of along the same lines i feel. I don't have a "theory" that satisfactorily ties them together, but I have that hunch ya know? Please give it some thought and maybe comment on it, I'd love to hear someone's take on it.

  • I loved this subject....more and more regular people should discuss these things, knowledge is free.

  • 4:30 The big bang didn’t come from nothing.

Cells don’t come from nothing. They come from components, lipids and phospholipids. DNA comes from chemicals made by asteroid impacts and other reactions. Amino acids are made by the combination of volcanoes and lightning, which used to be more common.

The other regions of the Universe are less hospitable; however it still is possible for life to live there, its just much less likly it would evolve there from the start.

  • I've wondered about this as well.

  • Ridley Me and my freinds have been talking about how the universe thus far seems to show traits of being a fractal type of orginization. the solar system kinda mimics how an atom looks, is structured. galaxies even possible much larger "atoms" but nice that some one has talked about something that seems to make sense.

  • great theory, Dave, and courageous of you to talk about it - I love ya! :O)

  • Although it does sound like your getting sum. haha. I have never found any one who believed in any thing close to what I have always believed. Then again I am quite new to computers, so old info is new to me... I have always believed that we Exist microscopically in "God" as we are the god of our own multiple universes. Microscopes and telescopes tell the same tell, only on diff. sides of the story. Dark matter is DNA and thats what binds things with diff. descriptions. Evolution is the key...

  • @ollietoom Nope... thats not how it all works.

  • @ollietoom Dark matter isnt DNA, thats the dumbest thing I have ever heard. We can see DNA, we work with it in labs. You cannot see Dark matter. Dark matter's existence is due to the unexplained gravitational pull that we know exists in our galaxy. Learn some basic science first before you spew your random ideas on the internet.

  • @ollietoom Think about it. Particles can comunicate with one another instantly, no matter there distance from one another in space. This leads me to believe that under the subatomic level, something is connecting all things.

I have always thought that the universe itself is like a living entity, growing, and there are billions of intelligent beings in the vastness of our cosmos that are like the mind of this universe, whatever you want to call it begining to awaken.

  • definitely high lol :D

  • whats wrong with you man? on some crazy acid by the sounds of it

  • I think you are not too far from the truth. I think everything that exists in our universe and in other universes is god. With you calling these sub-atomic particles brains, you are saying that they are aware. They have consciousness, the same thing that makes us aware, makes these particles aware. I think society as a whole is going to understand that we are not separate from god, but we are gods and everything that is, is god too.

  • @UmNothankyou thats like buddhism. but thers proof of God like Near death experiences. hey check up akiane kramarik. her parents didnt believe in God but then things changed. im christian.

  • Are you masturbating?

  • the search string says it all...

galaxies physics ridleyreport hemp marijuana string theory amateur astronomy

  • Sounds quality is very distracting, as it is in most of your videos. Don't excersise while talking. Don't edit by pausing the recording, and then hitting play again. Write a script if you have to. Edit with Audacity, it's free.

As for your idea, I'm afraid it's nothing new. It was used as a gag in "Animal House" (1978). You also seem to mistake a Membrane (a brane, or p-brane) used in M-theory (an extenstion of string theory), with the kind of brane used in brane cosmology.

  • R u having sex while u r talking?

  • @pccchurch hahahaha! he masturbates to liberty!!

  • @pccchurch hahahahah XD

  • @pccchurch i almost chocked when I read this lmao!. Good video though helped me out.

  • @pccchurch Yeah i think they are !

  • @RidleyReport> You might want to check out this series by YouTube user potholer54. It's about the origins of the universe, and I think you'll find it interesting...

    /watch?v=wg1fs6vp9Ok

  • RR, you may enjoy David Icke's take on the nature of reality: watch?v=-5ASd2W-v9Y

  • @slewofdamascus

David Icke? *shivers* I suppose you'll also be one to tell us how our shapeshifting reptilian overlords are engineering an armageddon scenario?

  • @AttunedFlux David Icke is a gifted, thoughtful individual, and those are the kind of people with whom I pay attention. I am not put off by out-of-the-ordinary beliefs, nor do I automatically subscribe to the entire lot of anyone's belief system, just because I'm enamored by the way he or she thinks. I can make distinctions and other complicated choices when choosing whom to listen to or whom to recommend. David Icke has an interesting story and there is much to learn from his journey.

  • It should be noted that when scientists say the universe came from "nothing" they don't mean nothing in the sense that most people think.

  • you should watch youtube(dot)com/watch?v=7ImvlS8PLIo 'A Universe From Nothing' by Lawrence Krauss, AAI 2009. for example the string theory is probaly wrong

  • very strange video for you sir.

i like very much the area of interest, and am myself fascinated with such subjects and have studied them at length. There have been a lot of new discoveries since the LHC started its operations and most of the Documentaries, especially on youtube, are just not up to date. keep looking, i think the areas you're currently looking are in the right vein.

I like the new subject matter

  • Dave, they already postulated that theory of atoms being universes in the movie Animal House (while they were smoking pot). Alas, you weren't the first. But bravo, nonetheless.

  • @hapspir

Heh, funnily enough me and a mate came up with the same idea about 14 years ago ...whilst smoking pot.

Same goes for B theory of time. (at least I think it is B theory - may be A theory)

  • Dave have you been eating wild mushrooms you found around Grafton lately?

  • Looking at Heisenburgs uncertainty principle seems to confirm this. Is this the mechanism God uses to know how many hair folicles you have? Or how He knew your name even before you were born?

  • we exist in a reality of endless plausibility, and it's infinitely small as large in the past we had to invent the number 0 cause nothing is implausible in this reality, even if we could take out every thing we know as real from a jar there is something happening there we just have not invented the tool to study it yet it's all in the math 1 can't = 1 cause of this 1=1 1-1=0 so then 1 must = -1 -1 =1 1+1=2 or -1 -1 = -2 so that way you get more of something or less of somthing
  • he stole the works of an arabic astronomer actually

  • @deewana16

how dare someone share their thoughts and ideas on a subject that others have already thought out. how dare he not know about this arabic astronomer you speak of. remember ridley, dont ever speak unless your 100% sure everything your saying has never been said or thought about, or morons will try to tell you that you stole an idea.

  • @AttunedFlux no he literally plagerized the guy's work. Diagram for diagram

  • Comment removed

  • It might be intuitively pleasing at first glance, but it's full of errors you might be able to spot yourself. Consider a grown man and how fast he can run, and how high he can jump, etc, relative to his own size. If we double that mans size with the exact same proportions, will he be able to jump twice as high, run twice as fast?

That example is hard because of technical things like blood pressure, but consider instead a simple robot that jumps. 100 times as high if 100 times as large?

  • @newexperiment

Sure, if the robot's 10,000 times as strong -- that is, if the strength of the robot increases proportional to its mass.

  • @ninjabunnyman Sure, but the laws of physics don't scale with the power of our microscopes.

  • @newexperiment

That's certainly true. If fundamental particles are universes, they certainly are queer ones. Then again, who knows, perhaps somehow from a reference frame far internal to a fundamental particle, physics would appear somewhat normal.

It's just such a fantastical claim, beyond our ability to test, that there's really no evidence one way or another.

I'd certainly guess it's false, but who knows.

  • @newexperiment

I do think to associate string theory, or hawking with this, is misleading. String theory doesn't have anything to do with supporting or disproving this sort of claim.

Really, string theory's just about mathematically reconciling QM and Einstein.

  • @ninjabunnyman It's entirely besides the point. Between short distances and between small masses, different forces over power others. So yea.. perhapse a strange universe.. strange enough to require a change in the definition of universe.. actually I have no Idea what your talking about anymore.. anything in fundamental particles are still within our universe and part of it.. maybe sub-universes but I still have no Idea what that means.. there certainly aren't any stars in them..

  • @newexperiment

Anything's possible, if you're considering things beyond our current capability to measure. But, it's pure speculation.

  • Truth be told!

  • Even if you are a minority of one, the truth is the truth.

    Mohandas Gandhi
